Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge & Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – Christmas Day Church Service

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge & Meghan, Duchess of Sussex - Christmas Day Church Service

Welcome back to RCFA.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year.

Before we kick start awards season on Sunday with the Golden Globe Awards, let’s go back to Christmas Day where the royals attended a church service on the Sandringham Estate in King’s Lynn, England.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge: Looking as regal as ever, Catherine didn’t disappoint with her latest look, which consisted of a red Catherine Walker coat – which she also owns in green. Opting to match the look with her Mulberry ‘Bayswater’ clutch, gloves and burgundy Gianvito Rossi heels, I love how the hybrid hat / headband gave this look some retro flare, and how the silver brooch shaped like a leaf added a touch of sparkle.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – Leicester City Visit

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker - Leicester City Visit

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Leicester City Football Club to pay their respects to the five people who died in a helicopter crash, including the football club’s Thai owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Vichai was known to the couple and the royal pair visited the city to recognise the strength and compassion the people of Leicester and the club’s fans have shown since the accident.

This wasn’t a funeral, so the Duchess wasn’t required to wear black.

She looked as elegant, and appropriate as ever in a grey coat dress by Catherine Walker.

Catherine completed her look with a black Aspinal London ‘Mayfair’ bag, Cassandra Goad jewels and Tod’s black pumps.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – St. Patrick’s Day With The Irish Guards In London

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was fully dressed in the colour of the day at the annual Irish Guards St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday (March 17) in London.

As we’d expect with a bespoke piece, her deep forest-green Catherine Walker coat fit her like a glove.

Additional sartorial beauty shone through with the coat dress’s dark contrast velvet collar and cuffs and military-inspired buttons, which she enlivened further with a shamrock pin and associated foliage.

Topping it off in final celebration to Ireland’s national colour, she tied the ensemble together with a matching green, sculptural hat for a look that didn’t skip a beat from her signature refined sophistication.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Catherine Walker – Tree Planting Ceremony

On Saturday Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge visited the Canadian War Museum with her husband Prince William during their official tour of Canada.

After talking to war veterans, the Duke and Duchess took part in a Tree Planting Ceremony at Rideau Hall which was close to the one planted by the Prince and Princess of Wales in 1983.

The Duchess wowed the crowd on the third day of her tour wearing a Catherine Walker grey dress with a Peter Pan collar.

Whilst Catherine looks very presentable, I keep asking myself, “What would Michelle Obama do?”

I do however love her Tabitha Simmons Dela pumps from the Fall 2011 collection.

These lizard pumps along with her Hobbs clutch perfectly completed her conservative look.
