Hamish Bowles fully embraced the ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ theme at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The Vogue editor was clad in a colourful Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano ensemble which was a textural delight.

It was an artful mismatch of lurex thread, mohair and ostrich feathers, to name just a few of the bold details.

The unifying element was the lavender colour palette which brought some balance to the lovably zany poodle cape.

He earns full marks for considering everything from the stocking socks to his multicoloured hair.
