Saks Celebrates New Main Floor With Lupita Nyong’o In Balmain

Saks celebrated its new main floor on Thursday (February 7) in New York City and Lupita Nyong’o was on hand for the occasion.

The ‘Us’ actress always looks smashing in colour, but she traded bold shades for monochromatic stripes in Balmain Spring 2019 with a dazzling Judith Leiber clutch.

Methinks many would have loved to see her wear the futuristic armored skirt. I’m sure she could have made a strong case for the piece. Given the event, it was a wise move to remove it.

The simplified shape draws the eye to her toned gams. The high hemline is balanced by the softly peaked shoulders and modest neckline.

The look was previously worn by Hailee Steinfeld with the skirt overlay.
