Glenn Close In Valentino – 2019 Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Glenn Close commanded attention at the 2019 Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday (February 3) in California, as the ageless actress conveyed such a modern grace.

This unique Valentino Fall 2018 cape-coat, with its ruffle cutouts, would have made Little Red Riding Hood jealous.

It also perfectly complemented the Valentino Resort 2019 jumpsuit underneath it, which we see in all its glory below.

Giuseppe Zanotti shoes rounded out the sophisticated, power look.

Once the red coat came off at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, we could see the impact of this Valentino design more fully.

The actress was speaking onstage at the Maltin Modern Master Award, where she was being honoured.

I love the bold dynamism of the red poppy floral print against the black fabric — and that this was a jumpsuit, not a dress. It was such a smart mix of classic sophistication and contemporary direction for the ageless star. A ‘modern master’ indeed.
