Front Row @ Valentino Spring 2019 Haute Couture
Valentino’s Spring 2019 Haute Couture attendees mostly focused on outerwear for their front row looks for Wednesday’s show.
Bianca Brandolini D’Adda: You’ll recognise this Valentino Spring 2019 look, as Regina King wore the same outfit to the 2019 AFI Awards earlier this month. The main difference are the boots as I much prefer this brown pair over Regina’s black.
Lucy Boynton: Cascading ruffles enhance the fluid ethos of this graceful silk dress from Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection.
Olivia Palermo: The fashion editor is very much a modern style icon, and her looks are polished and prim. On this occasion there was a distinct edge to her Valentino Pre-Fall 2019 look. Still elegant, but with a toughness to it which we don’t usually see.
Kristin Scott Thomas: I’m not sure what I love more. Her Valentino scallop-trimmed coat, or those colourful striped trousers. Kristen tends to shy away from bold colours, so I’m intrigued to see this look without the coat.
Mia Goth: The same can be said for Mia, as black is usually her red carpet M.O. Seeing her rocking red from head-to-toe in this Pre-Fall 2019 look was quite a shock for me. The lack of eyebrows, not so much of a shock there.
Rami Malek: Joining his ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ co-star Lucy in the front row. The actor isn’t one for logos, but he bucked that trend with his V Logo shirt which sees a remixing of lettering into bold geometric patterns that is an attention-grabber.
Celine Dion: While this is a lovely look for Celine, I wish it wasn’t so close to her hair colour.
