Julianne Moore In Givenchy Haute Couture – ‘Gloria Bell’ Toronto International Film Festival Premiere

Julianne Moore In Givenchy Haute Couture - 'Gloria Bell' Toronto International Film Festival Premiere
Julianne Moore made her return to the red carpet at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival in Canada for the ‘Gloria Bell’ premiere on Friday (September 7).

As she tends to favour black — and sometimes white —the hue of this Givenchy Fall 2018 Haute Couture gown offered no surprises. What was a bit more surprising was the floaty, plisse layers, as she often sticks to more tailored, figure-enhancing looks.

I saw the messy magic of the gown in movement on the runway. But, it lost some of that gloss here, as it wasn’t as flattering as I would have preferred at all angles.

The sparkle of Chopard jewels beautified the look.

What did you make of it all?

    Such a bad look.
I wish she would wear more Tom ford than Givenchy. Her stylist is not doing her any favor lately one of her worst looks ever.

I want everything on the runway model it’s ethereal pretty. Imagine this on sza or solange with a beautiful afro.

The dress makes her look huge. Those bulky shoes are just unfortunate!

I kinda love it, actually. Feels a bit bold, fashion forward and unexpected.

I don’t particularly like this look and why those heavy, black shoes?!?

I love her, but I do not love this look.

She looks way too washed out in white, the layers aren’t translating well, and the chunky black sandals, although not very visible, are jarring. It’s not a bad look overall, but it’s just not working as perfectly.

      I agree completely.

Terrible. No no and no. It reminds me the toilet paper wedding dress game from bridal shower. WDOTW contender

Often, I don’t like necklaces with gowns but here I’m wondering if someone taller would have looked cool wearing the runway neckpiece with this gown on the red carpet. I’m not going to crow BDOTW about it but I think she looks nice enough in it.
