Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here’s a look at some of the summery style the fellas have been sporting on the red carpet this week.

Odell Beckham Jr.: Some might feel like there’s a lot going on with the graphic print Versace Spring 2019 look, leg tattoos, necklaces and blonde hair, black beard combo, but I found myself enjoying this look and all its many elements at the 2018 ESPYS. You have to have plenty of swagger to pull this off, which thankfully Odell possesses in spades.

Dominic Cooper: On the other end of the spectrum we have Dominic Cooper looking very dapper in his pale blue dunhill London suit at the ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ London premiere. This is one of the finest summer menswear looks to date. I particular loved the cheeky red and white polka dot socks for a unexpected twist.

Shaun White: The snowboarder always cuts a fine figure on the red carpet, and the 2018 ESPYS were no different. The hue of his Etro suit might not feel summery, but he was looking just as cool as Dominic Copper, especially with this Mr. Leight shades.

Chris Paul: The basketball player showed some flare wearing this Dolce & Gabbana suit to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. While it fits perfectly with the event, I personally found it to be a bit of an eyesore.

Odell’s look is growing on me. At first glance, I thought it was awful but the longer I look at it, the more I can ignore the clash between the tattoos and the print. I actually like CP3’s look because it is so event appropriate. The other two men look good though I wish Shaun’s suit had been a lighter color.

Not a fan of Odell’s look or garish Versace prints in general but male celebs need to wear shorts more. Is that really hard? Otherwise there is very little distinction between their summer or winter wardrobes. Not that one can’t wear shorts in winter. I mean women still show off their legs in winter too. Anyway among the four here I like Chris Paul as it’s the craziest 🙂 Whimsical and fun. The other two suits we’ve seen ad nauseam.
