Gabrielle Union In Marc Jacobs – ‘Breaking In’ LA Screening

Gabrielle Union made a jaw-dropping appearance at the screening of ‘Breaking In’ on Tuesday (May 1) in Hollywood, California.

You guys have made your feelings very clear about Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2018 collection.  Zendaya Coleman and even supermodel Erin Wasson couldn’t sell their looks to you, so Gabrielle is hoping not to fall into a trio failed attempts.

I…LOVE…THIS.

Some might argue that Gabrielle is perhaps a tad too short for this look, or that the proportions are off, but I’m loving the colours, the boldness and courage to do something different and mostly the total commitment to the look.

SOLD.

Probably not what she was going for, but amusing nonetheless

      OMG…..don’t. I’m dying over here 😀

This whole collection feels very influenced by The Mask, not a good thing IMO. I Have got to believe that these looks are way better in person than they photograph. Otherwise, I can’t begin to imagine why people are wearing the looks.

      I’m gagging…I really am

100% SOLD!! The colors, the silhouette, her confidence…this is so bold and instantly impactful.

I love the colors but this collection is horrendous. On the plus side, at least she did not wear the black bow. I am going to join Caroline in pretending this did not happen.

If I cut the picture in half, Gabrielle looks great in the first half. Yes the colours are popping and Gabrielle is totally channelling fierce, it’s a fantastic bold look. However looking at the whole picture, it does give off a clownish vibe.

Terrible. She looks clownish. The oversized look is just awful. The hat makes it even more costumey.
The colors are not enough to save this.

    Clown clothes.

I like this look. Love the colors, But those goofy hats translate much better in editorial scenarios rather than the red carpet. For instance, it worked for Beyonce’s album photos, because it was a part of a narrative. On the RC it makes the person look more like they’re in character and takes away from the look’s general charm. A for effort though.

It’s better without the hat, but since I saw that first, i cannot help but think of the movie The Mask and I cannot unsee it.

I love the colours but the big sleeves and the wide pants – all too much.

      +1

That’;s exactly what I thought when I saw Zendaya’s look from this collection

  14. Caroline May 2, 2018 at 2:47 pm #

Can we just pretend this collection didn’t happen?

  15. Leandra May 2, 2018 at 2:40 pm #

Playing with basic, complementary colours is an easy trick, besides teal and yellow is the most used combination when using complementary colours, kind of stylistically lazy.
The shirt has potential. The hat is a No go.

I love this look without the hat.
The colors work perfectly together and it looks beautiful on her.
The hat is too much IMO, makes this look a little bit costumey.
