Chanel Celebrates the Chanel Beauty House and @WeLoveCoco

On Wednesday (February 28), Chanel hosted a cocktail party to debut the Chanel Beauty House in celebration of @WeLoveCoco, a new instagram community dedicated to user-generated beauty content.

Hollywood influencers showcased an array of styles from classic to more contemporary.

Ava Phillippe: This fresh take on Chanel signature boucle was injected with plenty of youthful flare thanks to her colourful accessories.

Kristen Stewart: While I love that the Chanel ambassador made this Pre-Fall 2018 look her own, a part of me wishes she kept the runway knitted boots.

Mackenzie Foy: Colour-blocking has never felt so fun and vibrant. Like Ava, Mackenzie’s accessories enhance the look.

Tessa Thompson: I love this contemporary update on a classic bow accented Chanel look which hails from the Spring 2018 collection.

Ana de Armas: This look read too mature and too boxy for Ana.

Kaya Scodelario: Of all the looks here, I don’t feel Kaya’s look really represents Chanel at its best.

Este Haim, Alana Haim aand Danielle Haim of HAIM: Serving up a trio of classic boucle looks, I would’ve loved to have seen them do something different to the rest of the crowd. Something more vibrant or impactful from the Spring 2018 and Pre-Fall 2018 collection would’ve been more interesting.

Phoebe Tonkin: The actress was easily one of my favourites at this event. From the vibrant Spring 2018 look to the considered muted accessories, this stood out amongst all the boucle-clad starlets.

Chloe Bailey and Halle Bailey: Usually ones to step down a more avant-garde, fashion-forward path, their options were perhaps limited on this occasion to make a stand out impact, but their looks still felt fresh.

Jhene Aiko: The singer/author selected her third look in a row from the Resort 2018 collection. Like Phoebe, she was able to stand out in this vibrant chiffon bohemian number.

Sasha Lane: Cool accessories prevent this dress from feeling to blah for Sasha.

Sofia Boutella: I’m not sure of the proportions of this suiting option. Once again the accessories save the day.

Pom Klementieff: The actress can always been relied upon to bring a cool slant to any look, especially when she’s wearing Chanel.

I really like Sasha Lane’s look here — she turns a dull dress that looks like a house frock into something edgy looking and cool with her shoes, tattoos, pose, shades and dreads. Well done, Ms. Lane. The rest are okay or meh and as much as I usually love Kirsten Stewart’s looks, I can’t with those socks and the ugly Grandpa sweater.

Forgot to add that Tessa also looks good. She doe not fall into the meh or okay categories.

Phoebe is my favorite here. Kiernan Shipka was also very nice from this event.

Why does Kristen Stewart have such an affinity to tube socks??? It’s nuts. On the other hand, Tess Thompson rocks her look.

Phoebe, Mackenzie, and Ava look great.

I agree with most observations. The only one I do not really like is Jhene Aiko.

My favourite is also Phoebe because of the vibrant color.

Isn’t Mackenzie Foy’s dress the same as Alma Jodorowsky’s at the Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition Opening in Hong Kong?

Anyway – it’s the only one I like here.

Everyone’s ok here outfitwise. Phoebe and Mackenzie clothes are my picks and I like the colourful shoes and bags from the various attendees.

I really like Phoebe Tonkin here.
I would have also liked Kristen Stewart if she was wearing different shoes sans shocks.

I actually like everything here, which is surprising since it’s an all-Chanel line-up. Usually there’s at least one miss or snooze in that. Especially kudos doe everyone for paying attention to the little things, with the colourful and inspired shoes and lips and accessories all around.
    First row is killing it!

    Phoebe Tonkin, hands down.

  16. james March 1, 2018 at 7:52 pm #

    Ava and Tessa.

  17. Alina March 1, 2018 at 7:35 pm #

Ava and Mackenzie. Tessa’s look is very… Janelle Monae-esque.
