Gina Rodriguez In Naeem Khan – 2017 Emmy Awards

Gina Rodriguez channeled the drama of red-carpet red for her look at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

Sultry glamour and the glitz of beaded embellishment aligned in this Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2017 plunge gown.

Upon being reminded of its original incarnation as a jumpsuit, I realized why something seemed just slightly off about the dress version. I believe it could have benefited from a more moderate plunge, as originally presented, along with a more prominent waistband detail.

Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed her look.

I actually like both, but I weirdly like the gown version better, maybe even more if the V wasn’t as deep. I do love that they kept the hair and jewelry minimal… Or else it would’ve looked too Gotti. She pulls it off, looked amazing on stage too

Nah. The plunge looks uncomfortable, like a fashion-mishap waiting to happen, and I truly believe this was meant to be a jumpsuit. It looks better as a jumpsuit, more interesting. Still, a good look, she makes it work.

She can do better, but it’s not the worst

The modifications you mentioned would have vastly improved the look.
