Paz Vega In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘Everest’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Paz Vega In Ralph & Russo Couture - 'Everest' Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Paz Vega attended the ‘Everest’ premiere which was part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2).

Ralph & Russo dominated Cannes Film Festival, and on sight of this majestic pale grey halter gown with glass bead and pearl droplet embellishments, I hope they’re on course to do it again.

I’m all for a princess moment, especially during a European film festival, but the removal of the tulle train took this look to another level; from romantic to femme fatale.

So far, this is so much better than Cannes.

I much prefer her version, the tulle train looks unnecessary. She looks simply stunning.

I’m glad she took the tull train out of the gown too! She looks like a KILLA. And in the best way. Amazing and gorgeous.

This is incredible. Great look for a jury. I am sure she could’ve rock the deatil that it was took off but I’d like to see in case she was the star of the movie.

Wow this is stunning! I too prefer this over the runway.

I really really love this! I prefer this dress to the ones of Diane Kruger and Elizabeth Banks! Well done Paz!!!!

Absolutely stunning, from head to toes perfection. (If I am being picky I would switch the shoes for some single sole sandals in a metallic tone)
    BDOTW for sure, and a worthy contender of BDOTY;

Bravo! I love this, maybe it is not only BDOTW worthy, but also BDOTY!! : )

I think she was very much on the right track, but didn’t go quite far enough:

Getting rid of the train: check.
    Short chic hair: check.
    Dark(ish) lip: check.

Someone said, she took it from romantic to edgy–while I agree, I wish the hair had been just a little bit sharper and the lip just a little bit darker and it would have been perfect. This way, it doesn’t disappoint as much as others that night (coughcough), but it could have been even better.

the train version is cheesy. Paz did the right thing. great look

  10. Milla B. September 3, 2015 at 06:51 #

Gorgeous. She totally elevated this look. This dress looks better on her than on runway.

  11. Valissa September 3, 2015 at 05:41 #

She looks statuette and gorgeous! I love the simple yet effective styling, the detail of the dress and the fact that she got rid of the train.
It may be safe, but that doesn’t necessarily mean boring. I love this.,

It’s not OTT or groundbreaking, but she looks absolutely gorgeous.

I don’t understand your comparision with these two festivals. When Cannes is on point, Venice is a snooze and vice-versa. Cannes is the film festival where you can go with whatever you want, not Venice.

Beautiful. Paz has such a classy-yet-unsnobbish style-vibe, not dissimilar to Elizabeth and Diane.

Practical question from a girl who will probably never wear a gown with glass beads: Can she sit down?

  15. Noemi September 2, 2015 at 23:40 #

I love it and I prefer the modified version, even if I dislike the shoes, they’re a bit tacky.

  16. Ramsay September 2, 2015 at 23:03 #

I think the dress works better without the chiffon
    Paz looks really good here

  17. Bailey September 2, 2015 at 22:46 #

Losing the train definitely changes the dress from romantic to edgy, but I personally prefer it with the train

  18. Nat39 September 2, 2015 at 22:30 #

The gown is a bit bland and standard, she does wear it very well, but I’m still a bit bored, there isn’t anything distinct about it to make it standout or memorable.

    • Marcel September 2, 2015 at 22:46 #

Everybody is playing really safe , in accordance with an almost mechanical set of rules. It is being very boring design wise.

    • Dee September 3, 2015 at 14:08 #

I agree. It isn’t anything exciting just a beaded column gown.

  19. Christine September 2, 2015 at 22:24 #

Agreed. So much better than Cannes so far. She looks beautiful.

  20. Bec September 2, 2015 at 22:17 #

Am I the only one who yelled ‘finally!’ when they saw this pic?

After a super lacklustre few months I’m so glad there is a look to add to my BDOTY list!

  21. Fiona-Brasil September 2, 2015 at 22:04 #

    Absolutely fabulous!

    • pinksugar September 3, 2015 at 03:00 #

+1 I agree this is absolutely stunning.

  22. Dhppy September 2, 2015 at 22:00 #

Oooh! Wonderful! I love it, I love it, I love it! (And you’re so right about getting rid of that train to become a femme fetale.)

  23. Marcel September 2, 2015 at 21:59 #

Yes, this is really beautiful. I am glad she removed the tule, I hate the princessy sillhouette.

  24. Evita September 2, 2015 at 21:55 #

Venice has so far been almost too good fashion-wise,it will be hard for the attendees to live up to this standard! The Cannes film festival is only a distant memory to me now

  25. Chris September 2, 2015 at 21:55 #

I prefer her version without the train. There is no denying – she looks fantastic!
