Dakota Johnson Wore Mugler To The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
On Saturday, Dakota Johnson was honoured with the KVIFF President’s Award at the 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, recognising her outstanding artistic contributions to world cinema.
To accept the accolade, Dakota stayed true to the wardrobe theme she’s been embracing lately: the little black dress. Usually her go-to is Gucci, but this LBD was from Mugler.
The black velvet dress was a masterclass in sculpted minimalism, instantly recognisable by the sharply peaked bustier, a signature of the house. With so many vintage moments dominating red carpets recently, this dress could’ve easily been mistaken for an archival piece. But it’s actually from Mugler’s current collection, which cleverly nods to a design originally created by Manfred Thierry Mugler.
She kept her accessories pared back with classic black Jimmy Choo Romy pumps, allowing her Richard Coin Haute Couture diamond and emerald necklace to do the talking. It’s another effortless yet impactful look in what is quickly becoming a standout run of sleek red carpet moments.
