Ciara In Alexandre Vauthier Couture – 2015 Grammy Awards

Ciara In Alexandre Vauthier Couture - 2015 Grammy Awards

Ciara attended the 2015 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday (February 8).

Working a flurry of architecturally sculpted tulle, she stunned in an Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2014 Couture black gown.

For all its rigid ruffles and long flurry of a train, the singer still managed to own this dramatic, eye-catching look without it wearing her. The gold metal belt was a brilliant, figure-enhancing addition.

The gown was the art piece here, so the rest of the styling was kept to a minimum with a simple pair of Christian Louboutin ‘Mea Culpa’ black pumps.

Smoldering nude makeup tones complemented Ciara’s natural beauty and swept-back, partless locks were the only other element at centre stage.

I love the drama of the dress, great for the Grammys.

Love the unique design of the dress and the addition of the belt was genius. Ciara is statuesque enough to pull this off effortlessly.

FC – thanks for the fabulous coverage of the BAFTAs and Grammys red carpet. Cannot wait for the OScars, and hope to see some of the latest Spring Couture looks on the red carpet.

Like I always say, some things are just meant to stay on the runway.

    This is one of them.

    I don’t like anything about.

This is really quite incredible. This is how you do edgy, cool and fashion forward without looking desperate. Most of Grammy attendees should take note.

This is really good! Only thing that could have been better are the shoes, but you’re not really looking at them anyway… She looks great.

I really like the interesting design of the gown but the front is way too short.

Coulda been. but it falls flat. I feel nothing here,
I appreciate what she tried, but no. I’m not feeling it. fail.

Can I get a “YAAASS” up in here? Thanks!

I feel like Ciara always dresses like she ls a bigger star than what she actually is. This is a pretty major dress yet it doesn’t really blow me away.

What the heck are you talking about?

This is gorgeous from the front, but when she turned to the right with the opening to the camera on the E! red carpet, it was apparent that the front was way too short….indecently short.

But saying all that, Ciara was stunning in this – from the front. I really like that she kept the styling to a minimum.

I thought the same when I saw her +1

This is lovely, and if she had worn the shoes Dianna Agron wore to the BAFTAs I would have melted.

Absolutely love this for its uniqueness and drama. Her beauty look and attitude takes it a notch higher.

Adore the architectural high fashion drama, bold and artistic, also like the addition of the belt, and her presence is incredible here and sells the look, only wish she’d chosen a different shoe.

I agree! some strappy kirkwoods would of been great for this look

    • Fiona - Perth February 9, 2015 at 14:51 #

Agree – such an edgy dress deserves a more exciting shoe – not much point wearing a pedestrian pump with this gown.
