2015 Art Of Elysium HEAVEN Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the attendees for The Art of Elysium 8th Annual HEAVEN Gala held at Hangar 8 on Saturday (January 10) in Santa Monica, California.

Brit Marling: Usually I am a big fan of Brit’s red carpet look, but this mummification Rodarte Fall 2010 look is lost on me.

Angie Harmon: The colour, the draping, the fit…I’m left speechless by this breath-taking beautiful Marchesa gown.

Camila Alves: The ‘Plus One’ beauty of 2014 stood alone on this red carpet wearing a classic Dolce & Gabbana dress styled with Aquazurra heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Abigail Spencer: The actress joined a trio of stars attending the event in Carolina Herrera after Paz Vega and Camilla Belle. While I do like this pretty black and grey offering, plus the styling of the look, it somewhat pales into comparison of the breath-taking nature of the other two.

Gillian Jacobs: You might be surprised by this salmon pink and fuchsia printed Issa dress worn by Gillian, but I’m not as it incorporates not only her love for colour but also her love for prints. On this rare occasion, me no likey.

Ahna O’Reilly: While the actress is looking sweet and chipper in her Temperley London look styled with black accessories including a Rodo clutch, I find myself asking: why didn’t she wear a gown?

Dita Von Teese: J’adore this rare, colourfully printed, floor-sweeping Carolina Herrera gown from the burlesque star.

Laura Prepon: While I am swept away by the striking contrast of black and red colours against Laura’s skin-tone, I do want to find a pair of scissors and cut out that organza cascading layered train on her Christian Siriano gown.

    Dita looks exceptional.

Even Brit looks sad that she ended up in that dress. Maybe she saw Dita looking amazing in that dress and was jealous. Lol

    Angie, Angie, Angie…

Angie Harmon! Wow! Absolutely gorgeous, the less-than-perfect shoes notwithstanding.
Dita is elegant and festive. Camila looks lovely and classy (as always) but fails to charm to excite.
    The rest? Meh….or worse.

    Angie and Dita look wonderful!

Brit’s dress looks like some old-school Rodarte collage dress. From fall 2010 I guess.

Angie looks fantastic in that dress and the colour is gorgeous!! In love!!

Love Dita’s gown. Laura’s hair is far too dark, I find it distracting. Angie’s was great until I reached those dreaded black pumps. I feel like Camila has worn several variations of that same kind of dress before.

Agree on all accounts. I really wish Laura would go back to red, or even blond. Angie could have been an early contender for BDOTY with better shoes. Tragic.

Angie Goddess Harmon! So perfect *-*

    Dita look is beyond stunning!

Dita looks the best, even though I don’t like the hairstyle.

Angie’s black peep toes with her gorgeous gown were awful. No.

I actually love Giilian’s pink gown. It’s gorgeous with her skintone.

Camilla Alves’ gown is so boring.

  13. Britta January 11, 2015 at 7:27 pm #

Dita von Teese in Carolina Herrera and Angie Harmon in Marchesa are my favorites! Gorgeous!

Dita with the most ‘gala’ kind of look and Angie is gorgeous in green, only wish she’d opted for gold sandals.
Brit’s dress is really awful, it looks ‘home-made’. Camila is surprisingly boring in black lace, the rest fail to excite as well.

Abigail and Dita from the bunch.

I’m always amazed by Abigail’s consistency on the red carpet. Talk about an unsung hero.

  16. Pat January 11, 2015 at 7:13 pm #

Dita’s my favourite one by far.

+1 The only one I like. She looks stunning.
