The Hammer Museum’s 12th Annual ‘Gala In The Garden’

The Hammer Museum's 12th Annual Gala In The Garden

The Hammer Museum’s 12th annual ‘Gala in the Garden’ was held on Saturday (October 11) in Westwood, California in association with Bottega Veneta, where the stars were draped in the Italian brand’s finest pieces.

Dianna Agron: The ‘Glee’ actress continued to showcase her sartorial style wearing a black and nude patterned dress from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2015 collection. Oozing with elegance and femininity, she styled her dress with the brand’s signature woven clutch. I have found myself hypnotized by Dianna at the moment. Whoever is doing her makeup and making her glow so radiantly is doing a fine job.

January Jones: No surprises that January stood out; she’s never one to blend into the background. The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore an intentionally imperfect vibrant strapless Bottega Veneta patchwork Pre-Fall 2014 dress defined by a hot-pink jacquard, macramé lace, and a metallic coating. Like Dianna, she carried a woven clutch, with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals providing the finishing touches. Needless to say, she was by far my favourite at this event.

Emmy Rossum: Also carrying a Bottega Veneta woven clutch, the ‘Shameless’ actress looked as lovely as ever wearing a Bottega Veneta Pre-Fall 2014 V-neck black and nude gown shimmering with metallic-gold panels. Like Dianna, she’s glowing.

Zoe Saldana: Following the ALMA Awards, Zoe was back on the red carpet again for this event wearing a black and purple Bottega Veneta Fall 2014 dress with a geometric pattern highlighting the silhouette. The look was styled with a Bottega Veneta snakeskin knot clutch.

Julia Roberts: The actress wore a black sleeveless Bottega Veneta dress from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection impeccably tailored with a blooming floral hemline. I think this look would’ve sufficed with just the orange clutch; the hot-pink Bottega Veneta cardigan was perhaps one colour pop too far. I never thought I would say those words regarding a Julia Roberts look.

Kiernan Shipka: Sweet and ladylike as always, Kiernan wore a Bottega Veneta Resort 2015 sleeveless dress modernized and enlivened with colourful stripes. The starlet styled her look with bow-front pumps and a Bottega Veneta snakeskin knot clutch.

Emmy and Dianna look the best. January’s dress colour may pop but somehow I don’t like this look.

I think Bottega Ventea is under represented label on the red carpet,Thomas Maier produces some lovely collections. I’m having trouble picking a favourite out of the top three ladies.

Dianna’s too-blonde hair kinda kills her look for me. I ADORE Emmy’s, so glad someone like her wore that gown and did it justice. Julia looks like a retired school teacher. I rarely love what January wears but this look is full of style and sass.

Emmy totally rocks here! Looks wonderful as usual. h2t. I am also impressed with Dianna. I love her hair, and the dress suits her very much.

Emmy Rossum looks gorgeous. I love how the makeup compliments the dress. Definitely one of my favourite looks from her.

Talk about a winning streak! Another great look from Emmy Rossum. I also adore Dianna Agron’s look. The dress, the hair, the makeup, the overall styling… it’s a beautiful look altogether.

Love the entire top row, except for Dianna’s hair. So disappointed in Kiernan.

    Dianna looks the best here.

January stands out in her eye-catching dress and I like flawless Dianna.
What happened to Julia there?? She looks frumpy in that cardigan.

Dianna and Emmy are the best here. Dianna does that athletic cut so well, although I still wish her hair was less bleached. Emmy is flawless as usual.

The others…January Jones looks like she’s wearing a particularly glamorous candy wrapper. That sort of high strapless neckline is very overwhelming and hard to carry off.

Julia Roberts looks like a librarian – why?! At least lose the cardi, but still the shift dress is a snore.

I don’t like Zoe’s dress at all. And Kiernan…I love her, but I think this particular dress (the colours) is very aging on her.

Agreed. Emmy has never put a foot wrong on the RC, she’s impressive. Dianna’s hair prevent me from 100% liking her look but the dress is really pretty.Julia’s outfit is kind of a mess, the others are easily forgettable.

Love Dianna and specially Emmy Rossum. Did you see the back of the dress, FC? With pink and golden panels! Stunning!

    • Mick October 13, 2014 at 11:10 am #

Agreed, Dianna and Emmy are the best of the group. I’m not crazy about the other looks (especially Julia’s!)

    • Catherine Kallon October 13, 2014 at 1:15 pm #

Yes, I did see the back

    • dee October 13, 2014 at 2:49 pm #

      I agree.

  19. Gha October 13, 2014 at 10:56 am #

Love January, she’s perfect and really makes that look work for her !

Dianna looks really great, I love the dress. The clutch doesn’t work here though.
January and Emmy look good too.
