Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Julia Roberts In Stella McCartney - 2019 Golden Globe Awards

Those who were hoping to see trousers at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 6) will likely be pleased with Julia Roberts’ ensemble.

The ‘Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama’ nominee merged an understated neutral gown with tailored trousers in custom Stella McCartney.

It had the potential to look contrived but on her it appears completely effortless.

End Of The Week Red Carpet Roundup

As the week draws to a close, we look back at some of the beauties who made statements on the red carpet.

Emily Blunt: The actress showcased the designer’s feminine charm in a brightly coloured Carolina Herrera Spring 2019 outfit at SiriusXM’s Town Hall with the cast of ‘Mary Poppins Returns.’ The frock will likely have many dreaming of spring.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Black-ish’ star embraced a glamorous disco spirit in Gucci Resort 2019 at Equality Now’s Make Equality Reality Gala 2018. It’s a completely different mood than the runway version and is in keeping with her bold aesthetic.

Julia Roberts In Oscar de la Renta – ‘Ben Is Back’ New York Premiere

Julia Roberts In Oscar de la Renta - 'Ben Is Back' New York Premiere

After a bold display of colour, Julia Roberts returned to her beloved black at the ‘Ben Is Back’ New York premiere on Monday (December 3).

She might be in her preferred shade, but there were still a number of things to take in with her Oscar de la Renta Resort 2019 ensemble with its polka dot print and asymmetrical gathers.

The black and white colour palette is cohesive but the layers don’t come together as well as I want them to. I have an urge to see the coat removed or to see the longer gown.

Graziela Gems and EF Collection jewels brought some shimmer to the ensemble.

Julia Roberts In Valentino – Build Series: ‘Homecoming’

Julia Roberts In Valentino - Build Series: 'Homecoming'

Remember the days when Julia Roberts used to wear black, all-the-time?

Well those days seem to be fewer and further between, because 2018 has seen her embrace colour with some gausto.

And you can’t get more colourful than this Valentino Spring 2019 rainbow striped dress.

The actress was at Build Studio today (December 3) to promote her Amazon series ‘Homecoming’ in New York City.

What a way to banish those winter blues, wearing red and yellow and pink and green…

Julia Roberts In Brandon Maxwell - 'Homecoming' LA Premiere

Sticking with sleek tailoring, Julia Roberts attended the premiere of ‘Homecoming’ on Wednesday (October 24) in Los Angeles, California.

Brandon Maxwell may present an array of colours each season, but hot-pink is starting to become his signature colour.

This Resort 2019 look is far from classic Julia, as black had been her colour of choice for such a long time, but with her return to the spotlight she’s found a new love for colour, and they don’t come much brighter, or more vibrant than this.

Irene Neuwirth ‘Kingman’ turquoise earrings with full cut diamonds plus a selection of other sparkling pieces including Melinda Maria necklaces completed her look.

Julia Roberts & Elizabeth Stewart In Givenchy – 2018 InStyle Awards

Julia Roberts & Elizabeth Stewart In Givenchy - 2018 InStyle Awards

It would normally be a celebrities worst nightmare to rock up to the an event wearing the exact same outfit, but Julia Roberts and her stylist Elizabeth Stewart were deliberately twinning on the red carpet for the 2018 InStyle Awards on Monday (October 22), where Julia picked up the Style Icon Award and Elizabeth accepted Stylist of The Year, probably for that stunning Armani Prive look for Cate Blanchett at Venice Film Festival alone.

Their matching lilac Givenchy Spring 2019 suits was also worn with matching shirts and white Clergerie ‘Barbara’ brogues too, but when it came to their Givenchy ‘Cross3’ bags, the colour co-ordination came to a halt.

Speaking to Instyle about their decision to twin, Julia said it was a chance to do something fun as they don’t get to get to things together.

If it wasn’t for the hair colour and glasses, I’m sure most people wouldn’t have been able to tell them apart.
