Get The Look: Rosamund Pike’s Modern, Cool ‘Gone Girl’ World Premiere Hair

Celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath worked with Rosamund Pike for the 52nd Annual New York Film Festival Opening Night Gala Presentation and World Premiere of ‘Gone Girl’ on Friday.

When explaining her beauty inspiration Kylee said, “We wanted a modern, cool look to go with Rosamund’s beautiful look.”

Here’s how to get the look.

Starting with damp hair, Kylee sprayed Serge Normant Styling Spray from roots through ends, creating a straight centre part, and blew dry the hair with her Eco Croc Blow Dryer, starting in the front to really set the part. Once the hair was dry she sectioned off the front sections to pin into place last.

Kylee divided the remaining hair into three horizontal sections and put each horizontal section into an individual ponytail, twisting and pinning the little ponytails into mini messy buns with Burman Matte Mini Bobby Pins. Then she took the pinned-away front sections and pulled them back, combing them smooth with a fine-tooth comb. She pinned each section, blending them in with the mini buns. The point was to have contrast – sleek in the front and a textured style in the back.

The look was finished with Leonor Greyl Light to Medium Hair Spray for shine and hold.
