Camila Alves In Gabriela Cadena – Oscars 2014

Camila Alves In Gabriela Cadena - Oscars 2014

Camila Alves walked the red carpet of the 2014 Oscars tonight at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Sunday (March 2) in Hollywood, California.

The model and wife of Matthew McConaughey wore a delicately hued, long-sleeved Gabriela Cadena gown.

Swathed in this wash of creamy fabric, Camila looked sophisticated and ladylike.

Her Lorraine Schwartz earrings, and monochromatic clutch and manicure continue the theme of subtle elegance.

A textured updo and simple makeup finish the look.

its amazing how similar she looks to the indian actress deepika padukone

Camilla has the body to carry this outfit beautifully! and it complements her complexion too …

the only hitch is the rug cleaning fabric that hangs down like a liability

Side note: I’m totally in love with the Alexander Wang Antonia Snake-Effect Sandal on the side bar. Why does it have to be so expensive (for me at least)? 🙁

Not really crazy about this look. Don’t like the matching clutch and the makeup is perhaps a bit too neutral. Would’ve liked the addition of a cocktail or statement ring.

Love this dress on her , the cut is original.

Perfection! By far the most elegant, feminine and simply beautiful gown at the Oscars. The extra fabric is what made this dress outstanding…without it, it would have been a boring column dress with long sleeves. It was understated until you saw the flourish and then it triumphed. There should have been an award for this dress. What Hollywood needs to take note of is that our so-called “stars” are outclassed by foreign born housewives, i.e. Camila, Kate Middleton, etc. We need to studio system back in order to dress our current batch of classless actresses who are so clueless.

stunning. another BDOTY nominee in my book!

I loved this dress. She looked absolutely regal in it and the color is one I hope she wears more often. Extra fabric aside, she gave me a couple of real Grace Kelly moments.

I loved this look. Yes, there was some extra fabric – but she carried it off very well. And the color looks so delicious on her. Make up and hair was perfect – she looked beautiful.

Stunning and so pretty in pink. Loved everything about this look. One of the best of the night.

I want to like this so terribly for Camila finally not doing her one-note bombshell-thing. But something’s missing from here too.

Thought she was in the top 3 best dressed. She really stood out in the front row at the ceremony.

Just too much fabric. The hair, makeup, and color of the gown are lovely. If it had been just a sleek long sleeved column gown, it would have been perfect, but all the extra fabric looks silly.

I love everything about this. She is perfection

too much fabric. that said she looks great, very elegant and dignified.

    Very regal looking! my #2

  18. Anj March 3, 2014 at 03:25 #

Personally, she’s best dressed for me. A classic siren.
She looks statuesque and it goes to show you don’t need lots of beading and glitter to make a statement.

Amazing Camila! A brazilian in the front row!

  20. Mari March 3, 2014 at 02:46 #

Statuesque and goddess-like, she pulls it off. Love the draping here. Agree with others she looks better sans bronzer, love the natural makeup here.

  21. Peony March 3, 2014 at 02:43 #

This is so, so good. I love the sweetness of the colour contrasted with the modern cut, the drama of the cape…she looks incredibly romantic and strong at the same time.

Camila looks like a bowl of peach gelato ..delish!

  23. Sophy March 3, 2014 at 02:24 #

So soft and beautiful – she looks delicious like a perfect sorbet.

Absolutely adore!! Sophisticated, elegant, love the soft colour and the draping adding originality. She looks regal, poised and statuesque. Gorgeous look for Camilla.

she looks better than most of the nominees IMO!

    • Nat39 March 3, 2014 at 02:21 #

She totally outshines many of them, agreed.

  26. adrian March 3, 2014 at 02:18 #

Paula Patton tried something like this a few weeks ago. You could have taken note, Camila. It’s not happening.

  27. Cindy March 3, 2014 at 02:17 #

She looked gorgeous. I’m glad she went easy on the spray tan/bronzer. It seems she has looked so “orangey” of late. Tonight, her makeup was perfection.

I think the extra fabric on the left side wasn’t necessary. But I love the soft colour.

  29. Christine March 3, 2014 at 02:10 #

I kinda like this and then I don’t.
