Sara Bareilles, known for her beautiful voice and lyrical impact, donned no-fuss, textured tresses at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

Celebrity hair stylist Rolando Beauchamp described the look as “rough, beautiful hair that pulled her face up and back.”

Beauchamp prepped the hair first, using Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Beach Chic Texturizing Spray on Sara’s damp hair. In order to create the texture, he rough-dried the strands. When the hair was dry, he made two loose cornrow braids from the front to the back of her head.

He used a 1 1/4 inch curling iron on the rest of the hair; wrapping around just the ends. Using a bit of Garnier Fructis Style Deconstructed Move It Manipulating Gel, he worked it into Sara’s hair, section by section. This created more of a “slightly slept-in” look.

To set the hair, he gave it a few spritzes of Garnier Fructis Style Extreme Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray.

The result? Effortless waves and braids to compliment her feminine Blumarine gown.
