2013 Goya Awards Red Carpet Round Up

Goya Awards 1

There were many more gorgeous gals who took to the red carpet at the Centro de Congresos Principe Felipe in Madrid, Spain on Sunday evening for the 2013 Goya Awards.

Paula Echevarria: The actress took my breath away, wearing a shimmering Dolores Promesas gown. Her long-sleeved emerald-green creation with a plunging neckline and long train was styled with ruby Tous jewels and a gold seashell-shaped clutch. One of the top ten of the night.

Dafne Fernández: Here we have another stunning look from the beautiful Dafne. The actress wore a gold Stella McCartney long-sleeved gown with an open back and side slit. You may remember that Gwyneth Paltrow wore a similar gown to the 2011 Met Gala. Ombre waves, flawless makeup and subtle gold jewels completed her look.

Irene Escolar: With so many opting for Fall-like hues, Irene selected a pretty coral Blumarine gown with delicate orange embroidered details for one of the more stand-out looks on the red carpet, which was again perfected with simple styling.

Goya Awards 2

Ana Alvarez: Like Maribel Verdu, Ana opted to wear a gold necklace with her Christian Dior gown. On this occasion, the jewelry completed her Fall 2012 chocolate tulle ballgown with a sheer skirt. A gold clutch and simple bun provided the finishing touches to her scene-stealing red carpet look.

Amaia Salamanca: The actress dazzled, wearing a black asymmetrical Zuhair Murad Spring 2013 dress which instantly reminded me of Blake Lively’s ‘Savages’ LA premiere gown. The sexy gown was styled with an Oscar de la Renta gold rhinestone clutch.

Megan Montaner: The actress wore a shimmering Naeem Khan Pre-Fall 2012 backless gown, which she styled with Christian Louboutin shoes, a complementary Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch and Magerit jewels. I love the whole look, especially the styling, which includes soft wavy locks. Even though this is the second outing for this gown, it’s just as stunning as the first.

Goya Awards 3

Clara Lago: The actress was one of the many stars to select a Zuhair Murad gown. She looked spectacular wearing a navy beaded look from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection. Letting the gown do all the work, she swept her hair back and opted for a dark manicure, smoky eyes and silver jewels.

Macarena Garcia: Dior scored its third look on this red carpet courtesy of Macarena. The actress wore a simple red halter look from the Resort 2013 collection with wavy locks and a gold statement bracelet/armlet.

Blanca Suárez: Between the one sleeve, the slashed neckline and the slit to the thigh, it feels like there is too much going on with Blanca’s Emilio Pucci dress.

Goya Awards 4

Manuela Vellés: The actress wore a black-and-white Oscar de la Renta Resort 2013 mermaid gown. The white asymmetrical panel gives this classic silhouette an updated modern feel.

Norma Ruiz: I may have been inclined to like Norma’s Michael Kors Resort 2013 strapless gold lamé gown had it not been so heavily styled with gold Michael Kors accessories. The braided updo on this occasion feels very immature with this look.

Maria Valverde: The actress wore a Nina Ricci Spring 2013 navy ruched gown with a side slit. You may remember that Gemma Arterton wore the same dress in a polka-dot print not too long ago.

I think this was a very well dressed event. I love Irene’s dress and Megan’s look is stunning from head to toe – beautiful dress and beautiful styling.

Irene just ahead of Megan, just because Irene’s dress might just a little bit harder to pull off, but they are both beautiful.

Love Paula Echevarria and Dafne’s dresses.

I love the Goya’s–so well dressed.
The Beautiful: Irene (divine), Amaia (dynamic), and Clara (dreamy)
The Almosts: Paula (too lownecked) Dafne (too low-backed, and the sleeves are too short) Ana (wish the skirt wasn’t sheer) Megan (too lowcut, but otherwise beautiful–this dress was also worn by Kelly Reilly and won your BDOTW, FC :)) Maracena (just OK) and Maria (don’t like the slit)
The Misses: Blanca, Manuela, and Norma.

I only really like Clara Lago’s look from head to toe.

Paula and Macarena are my favourites, followed by Dafne, Amaia and Clara. It has been a while since the Goyas were so well dressed in general.

The Goya Awards are always such a well dressed event! I love every single look!

What a spectacular event, so many gorgeous looks. My favourite are Paula Echevarria and Megan Montaner (what a gorgeous re-run, her hairstyle, makeup and jewellery are perfection, better than the 1st outing imo). Also like Macarena in a more simple red halter look and Clara looks lovely in her strapless navy frock.
Dafne looks beautiful in her gown, but her hair and makeup don´t look that good.
Irene´s gown is refreshing but she is a bit too athletic in the shoulder/neck area for this gown.
Ana stands out in her ball gown, don´t care for the stripey gown on Amaia.

Blanca, Norma and Maria are my least favourite.

Agree with you about Megan Montaner, Nat39. Was it JLo who wore this dress first? I much prefer Megan’s take on it.

  13. Yeliz February 18, 2013 at 8:06 pm #

Clara Lago and Paula Echevarria are my favourites. They both look stunning from head-to-toe. Dafne Fernández and Megan Montaner are also gorgeous. Overall this was a very well-dressed event.

Cameron Diaz wore that Stella McCartney dress to the MET, not Gwyneth

    • Catherine Kallon February 18, 2013 at 8:27 pm #

      you are wrong

      • Harper February 18, 2013 at 9:01 pm #

I don’t want to be rude because I love your site, but I didn’t remember that detailing on gwyneths and hers looked a lot lighter

      • Donna February 18, 2013 at 10:25 pm #

I don’t think it is the same dress as either of them. The neckline is different from Gwyneth’s, but the back is different from Cameron’s.

Isn’t “similar” “looking almost, but not exactly, the same,” ergo FC’s “a similar dress”…?
