2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards

An eclectic mix of stars were out in force for the 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards held on Saturday (September 8) in LA.

Sarah Drew: I love the regal elegance of this SAFiYAA Fall 2017 cape gown, with the petal-pink hue and dimensional floral embroidery offering a layer of delicate femininity to the look. Her Tyler Ellis clutch was perfectly matched.

RuPaul: I don’t know anyone else who could make a double-breasted, bubblegum-pink suit look this good. His was from the Calvin Klein 205W39NYC collection.

Heidi Klum: Also donning a look in the pink family of colours, the supermodel host was lovely in a coral Elie Saab Resort 2018 embellished gown, styled with contrasting Lorraine Schwartz jewels. This was not a typical ‘Heidi’ look, and for that, I think we are all standing in applause.

Shu Qi In Elie Saab & Blumarine – 2018 Beijing International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Shu Qi was a vision at the closing ceremony of the 2018 Beijing International Film Festival on Sunday (April 22) in China. She joined Isabelle Huppert.

The actress captivated in not one but two romantic ensembles.

Firstly, she wore an Elie Saab Fall 2018 dress. It was a delight of details. The swirling pattern on the skirt was cut to reveal a bolder floral print. The bodice was just as ornate with its frilly Victorian inspiration and lace fabric flecked with red dots.

With so much already going on, she was wise to remove the scarf from the runway. I would have also taken off the white belt and left off the chandelier earrings.

The romance continued with a Blumarine Resort 2018 gown. The pale yellow stunner had as much detail work as the previous look, but presented a more harmonious finish because it focused on the feathery fringing.

The off-the-shoulder neckline increased the charm and balanced the textured skirt.

Kara Tointon In Blumarine – The Olivier Awards

British beauty Kara Tointon was at the 2018 Olivier Awards on Sunday (April 8) in London, England.

Wrapped in an aura of bohemian romance, she donned a Blumarine Spring 2018 floral gown that ushered in an easy elegance along with the joys of the spring season to come.

This would merely be a lovely, ethereal chiffon gown were it not for the punctuation of the pouf sleeves at the sides—both a nod to classic allure and avant-garde modernity.

A navy box clutch, a pretty berry lip, and upswept locks completed this dreamy entrée to the evening.

2017 GQ Men of the Year Party

The 2017 GQ Men of the Year party brought all the pretty girls to the Chateau Marmont on Thursday (December 7) in Los Angeles, California.

Kate Beckinsale: The British actress’ style would be classed as ultra girlie, but she took a walk down a new path wearing this Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2017 leather mini. I love how the neon green adds touch of 80s rebellious glam, which Kate tempers with her tights and black pumps combo. My first thought when I saw this look was, “if ever there was look which required her famous pony, this was it”.

Sofia Boutella: The actress opted to wear a full Prada Resort 2018 look which kinda has a bit of everything. While I’m not the biggest fan of dress-obscuring coats on the red carpet, the piece prevents this outfit from feeling like just another sheer dress, while adding some cool-girl charm to the look.

Gal Gadot: Wonder Woman made a bold entrance at this event wearing red Dior dress styled with black Louboutins. This is what I would’ve expected Kate Beckinsale to wear, as it possesses all her girlish signatures.

Millie Brady In Blumarine – The Perception at W London Launch

Millie Brady attended the official launch of The Perception at The W Hotel on Tuesday (November 7) in London.

The union of PJs and a robe served as inspiration for this Blumarine Pre-Fall 2017 floral-print pyjama suit that likewise showcased the velvet trend.

Given the lounge-y mood, I would have preferred slightly sleeker attention paid to the styling.

I think a slick bun and a pair of heels would have helped bring it out of the bedroom. What about you?

Soo Joo Park In Blumarine – Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner

Soo Joo Park was back on the scene at the Venice Film Festival for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner on Tuesday (September 5), joining Coco Rocha, Rebecca Hall, and Maria Ivakova.

It was not crystals or sequins that adorned her Blumarine Fall 2017 fit-and-flare LBD, but a fur-edged neckline for a bit of luxe-forward appeal.

As we’ve seen before, satin-y dresses can be particularly tricky to wear on the red carpet, as they are prone to creases and always photograph a bit less flatteringly. And, this dress wasn’t immune to that effect.

However, it may be the matching of her platinum locks (and brows) to the fur that, well, raises the most eyebrows.
