Michelle Obama In Naeem Khan – National Prayer Service

Michelle Obama attended the National Prayer Service at the Washington National Cathedral yesterday morning following an amazing night at the inaugural ball.

The First Lady wore a custom Naeem Khan ivory wool-appliqué 3/4-sleeve coat with jewelled neck and trim with a matching sleeveless dress.

I knew Mrs O wouldn’t let this moment pass without donning at least one look from the Indian designer. In fact, this is the eighth time that Mrs Obama has worn designs by Naeem Khan, the first time being at the administration’s first State Dinner back in November, 2009.

Opting to wear her hair in an neat updo, she styled her Sunday Best (even though it’s Tuesday) look with nude kitten heels and light makeup.

Michelle Obama In Jason Wu – Commander-In-Chief’s Inaugural Ball

I stayed up until 2am eager to watch history in the making as Michelle Obama revealed her gown to the world at the public Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. on Monday evening.

I was delighted to see that Mrs O wore Jason Wu again.

After a weekend of muted colours, she dazzled the crowds wearing a custom ruby chiffon and velvet gown which showcased her athletic figure and radiant smooth skin.

While some of you may have been rooting for another designer, I think she made the right choice in wearing a designer she felt comfortable with, whose feminine design aesthetic has flattered her on so many occasions over the past four years.

Kimberly McDonald provided the custom-made jewels and Jimmy Choo provided her heels – I’m guessing they are kitten heels.

The only question I have is, “where was Chris de Burgh?”

If ever there was a moment to sing ‘Lady in Red’, this was it.

Michelle Obama In Thom Browne – St. John’s Church

The Obama family arrived at St. John’s Church in Washington, D.C. this morning on Inauguration Day in very good spirits.

Michelle wore a Thom Browne custom navy jacquard coat and dress for the occasion, which she accented with a bejewelled J. Crew belt, her second bejewelled piece in so many days.

The rest of her accessories, by J. Crew, included purple gloves and grey kitten heels.

The First Lady also wore this look to the ceremonial swearing-in event, but she added navy Reed Krakoff knee-high boots to her look as the event was hosted outside.

Michelle Obama In Michael Kors – 57th Presidential Inauguration Reception

Capping off a busy weekend, Michelle Obama took to the stage with her husband Barack Obama at the 57th Presidential Inauguration, held at the National Building Museum on Sunday in Washington D.C., wearing her third look.

On this occasion, the First Lady sparkled wearing a Michael Kors black sequin boat-neck dress with her favourite Manolo Blahnik kitten heels and a selection of diamond-encrusted bracelets.

For the second time this weekend, FLOTUS has recycled a look.

First the McQueen and now this dress, which was first worn back in September 2009 for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Dinner.

Somehow, I don’t think tonight’s gown will be a repeat.

Michelle Obama In Reed Krakoff – President’s Official Swearing-In Ceremony

With the inauguration festivities well under way, Michelle Obama was captured looking adoringly at her husband on Sunday morning for the President’s official swearing-in ceremony in the Blue Room of the White House.

How appropriate that the First Lady opted to wear a blue Reed Krakoff dress and cardigan, which matched both her husband’s blue suit, the decor in the room and Malia blue H&M dress.

The blue-and-black floral-print dress with a slightly flared skirt was styled with black patent Jimmy Choo ‘Aza’ kitten heels and a nude lip colour.

I can’t wait to see what she wears tonight for the ball.

Michelle Obama In Alexander McQueen – 2013 Kids’ Inaugural Concert

Michelle Obama and her daughters Sasha and Malia attended the 2013 Kids’ Inaugural Concert on Saturday evening, held at the Washington Convention Center to celebrate military families prior to the second inauguration of U.S. President Barack Obama.

The First Lady kept her look fairly simple, wearing black fitted pants and a white Alexander McQueen Victorian bustle piquet shirt from the Resort 2011 collection, which she styled with a fabulous bejewelled belt and her favourite kitten heels in red.

Newly-cut bangs and a pink lip shade completed the look.

You may remember that Mrs O first wore this Alexander McQueen white shirt back in May of 2011.
