Michelle Obama Wore Rejina Pyo On The Ellen Show
Former First Lady, Michelle Obama made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen Show’ on Monday (April 18), where she talked about her upcoming 30th wedding anniversary with husband Barack Obama, their daughters’ first time at ‘The Ellen Show’ when they saw the Jonas Brothers, the progress of The Obama Presidential Center, and she gave advice to Ellen as she closes this chapter with her talk show.
When I see Mrs O wearing this 70s inspired Rejina Pyo Maeve denim belted jacket and Sadie denim bootcut jeans I wonder why the Canadian tuxedo gets such a bad rap.
Granted. Not all denim is created equal. And some say the key to pulling off this look is for there to be some contrast, but I prefer double denim to match.
Some might not agree, but matching double denim feels more modern, less Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards.
In this case the modernity is infused with the panelling on both the jacket and jeans, along with the green Gianvito Rossi ‘Gianvito’ pumps with Mrs O paired with her outfit.
