Cate Blanchett In Giles – ‘Carol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Giles - 'Carol' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Cate Blanchett attended the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

The Australia actress decision to go big was very welcome as I was totally captivated by her Giles Fall 2015 strapless gown.

Managing pull off the complexity of the gown ever so elegantly (that picture of her walking up the stairs just made my night), I was immediately drawn in by the hypnotic print which is a refreshing change for a Cannes premiere.

Is the alluring dark romanticism lost on you, or is this another slam dunk for Cate Blanchett?

Li Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture – ‘Carol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Li Bingbing returned to the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

My immediate thought upon seeing her in this Elie Saab Fall 2014 Couture gown was, didn’t you wear this yesterday?

Colour aside, this dress is almost identical in style to the one she wore yesterday.

As beautiful as these gowns are, it’s becoming harder to identify one from the other making them repetitive and at this point, boring.

I have no words for those shoes.

Erin O’Connor In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘Carol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Erin O’Connor finally brought some drama to the red carpet for the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

While I wish the makeup wasn’t so Carey Mulligan-bare from a distance, I love the drama imbued by the colour, the train and of course that bow.

I’ve waited a long time to see this Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture gown on the red carpet, so I am thrilled that:

a. it was worn at Cannes and;

b. it was worn by someone with the presence to pull it off so gracefully.

A necklace would’ve kill this look stone dead, so I’m glad she showed some restraint opting for just a ruby encrusted diamond cuff.

Eva Longoria In Atelier Versace – ‘Carol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Eva Longoria attended the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

The actress wore an Atelier Versace strapless gown with layers upon layers of fabric which did nothing but stumptify her.

Again, I want to love it, but I just don’t think it’s doing anything for her.

This feels so below par. I’m missing the wow factor Eva usually deliver at Cannes.

The only thing I would save here are her Lorraine Schwartz sapphire earrings.

Natasha Poly attended the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

The model wore an Atelier Versace Fall 2014 gown which looks like it got lost on its way to LA for tonight’s Billboard Awards. Rita Ora won’t be pleased.

On one hand I want to applaud Natasha’s fearlessness for this bold look, but all I see it a bodysuit and a bed sheet.

For me, Natasha failed to deliver this year. Perhaps on account that Cavalli and Pucci are not present this year as they go through their transitions.

Sonam Kapoor In Ralph & Russo Couture – ‘The Sea Of Trees’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

"The Sea Of Trees" Premiere - The 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Sonam Kapoor attended ‘The Sea of Trees’ at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 16) in Cannes, France.

Parading out an even more intensely electric shade of blue than Jane Fonda, Sonam stunned in a Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture gown.

This extravagant piece delivered on high drama between the powerful colour and the theatrical, period-style silhouette.

The exaggerated hip-length draping isn’t always an easy look to say the least, but Sonam wears it with such beautiful aplomb.

Complementary Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and glittering Chopard earrings, along with enviably glossy tresses and a punchy coral-red lip and matching nails, all took the look to the next level. It wouldn’t have been the same without this dynamic styling.
