Jessica Chastain In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Chastain electrified the Cannes Film Festival red carpet at the screening of ‘The Meyerowitz Stories’ on Sunday (May 21).

She wore a coatdress from the Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture collection, except it was rendered in a shockingly vibrant green hue that, of course, was a captivating complement to her red locks.

I’m quite glad she opted to wear the look in such a vivid shade, as otherwise I fear the black rendition of the elegantly simple dress would have been far too forgettable for the likes of Cannes.

Giuseppe Zanotti metallic heels and a sparkling ring completed the ensemble.

Elle Fanning In Gucci – ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Elle Fanning joined Nicole Kidman for the ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 21).

Ornate crystal embellishment brought sparkle, shine and glamour to this gorgeous floor-sweeping tulle gown from Gucci.

Giving yet another nod to the films era with some flower power, I love the big gown natural hair and makeup comb; keeping the look fresh and youthful.

Nicole Kidman In Rodarte – ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Having skipped the photocall, Nicole Kidman made her first appearance on the red carpet for the ‘How To Talk To Girls At Parties’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 21).

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for; and if you are anything like you are bitterly disappointed by this Rodarte Fall 2017 offering.

Even with all the embellishment this whole look reads grannyish to me.

My exact reaction was, “Oh dear god no”, especially after what’s been an amazing 2017 for Nicole on the red carpet.

The proportions are all wrong, therefore this blouse looks like a crop top.

Thankfully Nicole has several more projects to promote during this festival, and therefore time to turn this around.

Elisabeth Moss In Emilia Wickstead & Oscar de la Renta – ‘The Square’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Elisabeth Moss attended the 2017 Cannes Film Festival photocall and premiere for ‘The Square’ on Saturday (May 20).

Photocall: Completely in tune with the bright, summery surroundings, this Emilia Wickstead retro-inspired, floral-printed frock was a sweet way to start the day—even if this high-neck silhouette isn’t the most flattering one for Elisabeth.

Premiere: There would be no guessing who the designer was of this Oscar de la Renta Spring 2018 Bridal gown in its overt display of brand logo recognition. Thanks to the leather jacket and platform heels, my mind didn’t go to wedding. But, it did go to ‘Sex and the City’ meets ‘Grease,’ mostly because of the tulle poodle skirt. Chopard jewels completed the look.

Elizabeth Olsen In Marc Jacobs & Miu Miu – ‘Wind River’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Elizabeth Olsen was in attendance at the ‘Wind River’ photocall and the premiere of ‘The Square,’ both on Saturday (May 20) during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

Photocall: This Marc Jacobs Fall 2017 patterned dress had something of an identity crisis. Part of it was firmly rooted in winter with its dark, metallic colour palette, turtleneck and long, puff sleeves; while its super-short silhouette was all sun and legs. She styled the look with Monica Vinader jewels and Nicholas Kirkwood heels. However, a nude or brushed metallic shoe might have helped lighten the mood.

Premiere: I can’t say I was crazy about her second look either. The rosy glow of this embellished Miu Miu gown held promise. But, between the droop sleeves, the shoulder pads, and the plunge, it had an overcooked flavour that I couldn’t quite put my finger on. Chopard jewels completed the look.

Kristen Stewart In Chanel – ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Remember the time when Kristen Stewart wore a big frothy Oscar de la Renta gown and it didn’t feel authentic?

Well, as much as I want to hate this, this feels authentically Kristen.

Had you told me someone was going to wear a boob tube with frayed bouclé pinafore dress – despite it being Chanel – to the ‘120 Beats Per Minute’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening, I would’ve had to check your pulse.

But it’s mine I’m checking as I really like the look. Scratch that, I kinda love it.

It’s cool in a “take it or leave it” kinda way which I’m totally buying into.

I’m bracing myself for the comments on this one.
