Jude Law In Tom Ford – ‘Side Effects’ New York Premiere

Jude Law In Tom Ford - ‘Side Effects’ New York Premiere

Jude Law joined his A-list co-stars on the red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square yesterday evening for the ‘Side Effects’ New York premiere.

Opting for a light-grey Tom Ford suit, the British actor styled it with a black textured tie, white dress shirt and black leather Tom Ford shoes.

The Lewisham lad might be reluctant to accept his sex-symbol tag but I’m sure many of you will think it is very well deserved.

While I have never shared the hype surrounding Jude Law, the colour is refreshing and the overall look is much improved from the last time I featured him.

Is it me or is his tie too wide?

it´s a tie?? i was thinking it was the batman cape wearing ala Sigourney Weaver´s style (back to front) LOLZ!!

A skinner tie would have worked better. But the grey suit-white shirt-black tie look nearly always looks good to me.

You can dislike, but the width of the tie should match the width of the blazer lapel… So he wore it right!

It’s the only thing I don’t like. A slim tie would have been better. But he looks gorgeous!

Very handsome, but I don’t like the extra pocket flap on the right side of the jacket.

Not liking the tie, but the rest is OK.

His tie is too big and I don’t like the way the pants are fitting. Also don’t like the extra pocket flap on the jacket. And his hair isn’t working.

As Luis mentioned, the tie is in proportion to his lapel.
The pants simply need to be ironed as the fabric obviously is finer in thread-count and therefore prone to wrinkling; if you really want to ‘split hairs’, yes, they could be shortened a quarter-inch to accommodate the slim bottom that drapes onto the counter of the shoe.
Btw, the extra flap is called a ticket pocket – a detail that used to hold train or theatre tickets, and still usually represents a MTM garment (as in the style of the English suitings Tom Ford is inspired by – plus, guys always need a place to put their stuff lol.

I love how women always judge a man’s details but usually know little about the foundations of menswear :)
