Azealia Banks attended the Serpentine Gallery’s Summer Party in London yesterday evening.
Before her performance, she took to the red carpet wearing a Moschino Cheap & Chic Fall 2012 dress.
Her pink paillette frock with an orange Peter Pan collar and fur-ball hemline was styled with chunky orange jelly sandals.
I hate to admit it, but I kinda like the sandals with this look.
Are the shoes a hit or a miss for you?

It’s a big miss from the neck down – both dress and the shoes are silly.

+ 3. The dress is awful, and fur in summer… no way. I hate real furs, anyway and the shoes… bleah!
+4
I completely agree Nat!! I have never liked jelly sandals, even as a little girl and on little girls is the only place where these shoes belong.
+5
+6. There is nothing good about this dress and shoes…nothing.
My granny thinks that are a hit. For me they totally ruined the look which was pretty ugly itself.
FC I love those Carven pumps you picked.
Obsessed with them
I so agree with the comment about the Carven pumps–they are divine!!!
My 7 year old thinks it is a wonderful look too.
Even though the shoes work with this look, I still hate them, but she still gets a pass. But only for this look.
Otherwise, she looks gorgeous and the dress is perfect for her.
Hit. As in, a train wreck. How utterly dreadful.
LOL
I’m pretty shocked that you like those sandals with this look, FC.
I personally don’t like anything about this look. I dislike the dress, to begin with and her ridiculous styling with those shoes, doesn’t do anything better.
I do, however, like the color of the dress against her skin.
LOL, I like the whole outfit as well, it’s like one of those “it’s so bad, it’s good” looks.
Exactly!
Cheap looking but chic? I don’t think so.
The dress is cute, I’d personally ditch the fur trim, but those shoes are a world of no, I think a pair of gold/glittery brogues would’ve looked really cute though.
This is bad. It’s a mashup of glitz, cheap, and winter carnival. She’s gorgeous, but the outfit’s a travesty.
The whole look is a big fat NO. The dress works on the model, but I just don’t like it here.
What a lovely girl with a gorgeous smile!
That’s the only nice thing I can say about this.
Like the dress, but the shoes are big NO for me.
Hair up and a much quieter shoe and this would have been awesome.
The shoes messed up the look for me.
I’m not crazy about the dress, anyway, but those shoes were just a horrible choice…
Love Azealia but this is a big no from me i seen a picture of her recently in Louis Vuitton she looked gorgeous.
Crocs for a red carpet? Noooo….
Oh no she did not resurrect those jelly sandals…. I haven’t seen those since the 90′s….
RIGHT? I’m having terrible flashbacks!
Kids use to wear this to the seaside twenty years ago…NO WAY these shoes are appropriate for any use other than that, let alone for the red carpet.
The dress is ok untill you get to the bottom which looks like it was made out of stuffed animals.
I guess the shoes are a “miss” for me since I involuntarily shuddered when I scrolled down the picture. My first thought was marshmallows and Crocs are not a good choice. An unfortunate look on a beautiful lady.
It’s nearly impossible to find experienced people on this subject, but you seem like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks
The entire look is a miss for me.
I actually think it’s not that bad! It definately doesn’t go against the dress code of the night, since she looks just as glamosous and relaxed as everyone ealse there. I admit the shoes are horrible, but they work both with her outfit and her corgeous skin colour. Much better than Carey Mulligan at the MET Gala if I may say so (that’s what this outfit reminded me of)!
the dress looked so beautiful on the model but azealia looks a major mess.
You like the sandals with this look? You must be mad – they look ridiculous.
Nothing like an unnecessary insulting comment to start the afternoon.
H.A.T.E.
I had a dream about those orange sandals and Iwas so confused as to where I’d seen them.
And then I remembered.
Hit for me! She goes bravely all the way even if she must be aware of the risk of getting lust murdered by chic fashionistas everywhere
But without that gorgeous smile, it wouldnt have worked.
