Without much effort, Rihanna looked super sexy as she walked the red carpet at the 2012 Grammy Awards in LA this evening.
She had jaws dropping wearing a Giorgio Armani black silk custom gown.
The gown features a plunging neckline that is complemented by a respectable yet still daring central split. The back is dramatically open before the gown cascades into an elegant train.
Rihanna revealed that she had co-designed the dress with Giorgio Armani, and that she’s currently working on a capsule collection for the designer. Her inspiration for this dress was Michelle Pfeiffer in ‘Scarface’.
I still don’t get RiRi’s dirty blonde hair with visible roots and blunt bangs, but whilst wearing this gown, who’s checking out her hair?
Pendant necklaces, a gold clutch and Christian Louboution PVC-accented pumps completed her look.
Her makeup is flawless.
She was one of the best of the night.

I, very surprisingly, like this. I usually hate everything she wears. The hair, though, is horrible.

When I first saw this gown on E! Red Carpet, I about fainted. Rihanna is working this gown like only the sexy Rihanna could. I actually think she looks really sexy with the blonde hair. She looks amazing.

First of all, that hair is just…wrong. Now the dress. Rihanna isn’t exactly know for dressing with restraint and this dress is a perfect example of that. However, compared to a lot of her other looks, this is actually a lot more ‘wearable’ and isn’t as over the top as some of her other outfits, so for that I’ll have to say that I do like this.
The hair is so heinous, I can’t see past it. It’s like a horrific mashup of Barbra Streisand’s hair + Andre Agassi’s hair/wig circa 1987.

OK, I never thought I will ever hear these words from my mouth/see them typed under my fingers-but this hair is growing on me. She is pure perfection here, I mean-look at her. She’s working her stuff. I love this. I’ve been waiting for ages for her to tone down those crazy looks, and this is just right.

You know before I even knew it was Armani, something about the dress reminded me of the dress Anja Rubik wore in the Armani code campaign. I think it is the precariously thin straps. I don’t think this is a good look because it gave her pancake boobs. And I think the hair would have been so much better if it was straight. I don’t mind the color change and the roots. It’s the style that’s really bringing down the look.

First of all, I’m not a fan of the hair.
Second, I appreciate the simplicity of the gown, but well, I think it’s way too revealing: open back, plunging neckline AND split? Otherwise, it’s quite nice as a look.
Judging by this and her previous appearance in Bottega Veneta, maybe now she’s going to opt for less quirky clothes?
