Florence Pugh’s Whimsical Rodarte Look for ‘Klara and the Sun’
We didn’t see Florence Pugh at the photocall, but the actress graced the red carpet at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival premiere of Taika Waititi’s latest project, Klara and the Sun.

And she may have stolen the spotlight in this utterly radiant and whimsical Rodarte Spring 2026 gown.
There’s something wonderfully romantic about the floral embroidery, but it’s those exaggerated, sculptural shoulders that really make this look. Their pointed, almost wing-like shape gives the gown a fairy-tale quality, as though Florence has stepped straight out of a fantasy illustration. It’s an unusual silhouette, but one that makes the dress all the more enchanting.

Of course, we need to address the sheerness. The nude base creates an almost illusion-like effect beneath the colourful embroidery, and while I’m not always convinced by sheer gowns, I find myself far more receptive to this one. The floral detailing gives the design enough interest that the transparency doesn’t become its defining feature.
I also appreciate that Florence kept her beauty look soft. The half-up hairstyle and rosy makeup feel just right for the occasion, giving her an air of romance without making the overall presentation feel overly precious.
Aquazzura Divine platform sandals and Bvlgari jewellery completed her look.
You weren’t entirely sold on her last Wiederhoeft look, so does this fare any better, or is the sheerness an immediate no for you?
