Carey Mulligan is a very busy woman of late.
Too busy to stop and allow us to see what lovely clothes designers have loaned her.
On Tuesday she was spotted heading into the 2011 National Board of Review Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City wearing a Lanvin Resort 2012 dress.
The beautiful rose-beige ombre fringe dress was teamed with Sergio Rossi shoes and a metallic clutch.
Even from the side I can tell this is a stunning look for Carey.
On Friday she was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont in LA after attending a party hosted by Fox Studios in honour of her Golden-Globe-nominated film, ‘Shame’.
She wore a Roland Mouret ‘Edith’ dress from the Spring 2012 collection.
The red dress with the white tulip appliqués and black trims was teamed with black pumps, which she was carrying as she slipped into comfortable ballet pumps.

Oh my – I love the top picture, she looks so chic and full of positivity! Gorgeous. I have no doubt the bottom dress would have looked lovely with the right shoes and hopefully not with the bag she is carrying!
Yes, it’s a great picture. The dress looks gorgeous from the side, it must be great from the front too.
The Lanvin look is stunning.
OMG!
she looks stunning in the Lanvin dress!
It’s a pity we can only see her from her side.
She looks a bit taller too in the 1st picture!
The Roland Mouret dress is so cute! I want!!!
i wish we could see both of these head on — they’re bound to be even more gorgeous on carey
I’d love to see the Lanvin dress on the BDOTW poll. Do you still count the votes on each post’s comments, FC, or only the “likes” and tweets? Sorry, I’m still not familiar with the new site design!
Here she is from the front. Love this dress on her:

great. thanks
Michael Fassbender is one accessory I definitely could do with.
I’m really loving this young lady. There is something old school and genteel about her. She’s divine and seems to know what works for her. She looks lovely.
The Lanvin dress picture could be an ad campaign. Its gorgeous.
The Lanvin dress is too gorgeous for words, and I love the photo as it allows us to see the fringes in action. BDOTW.
even from the side, the Lanvin is BDOTW worthy!
Two perfect, amazingly chic looks for Carey. The fringe in motion makes for a really cool photo!
The Lanvin dress really looks fantastic in motion. And I love the shoes ♥
We can only see the back of the Roland Mouret, but I like it too.
Gorgeous dresses!!! In day to day terms, I suppose the Roland Mouret would be more practical (like I’d ever be able to afford it anyway!) and I think it’s really cute that Carey has her heels in hand to change. It makes her seem a lot more human.
i loveeeeeee this!! she looks divine!!
BDOTW for sure!
Interesting that she is wearing “comfortable” flats and carrying her stilettos in the second pic. Why do women subject them selves to the torture of ridiculously high heels? Fetish shoes cause pain and deformity, just to make females “look sexy” to males. Take back your bodies, sisters. If high heels were a good idea, men would be wearing them too.
Swooning over the Lanvin. She’s not even trying and looks fabulous. Can’t help but compare to Julianne Moore, who persists in wearing Lanvin looks that do not flatter.
FC, I love the new site design! One tiny thing: can the “read more” link be a little more prominent? Maybe it just needs to be on its own line with more white space around it.
