Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While we saw a lot of experimental menswear looks last week, this week it was back to the classics.

Orlando Bloom: The actor joined his girlfriend Katy Perry at the amfAR Gala in Los Angeles wearing a Canali navy blue tuxedo with worlds smallest bow tie.

Joe Alwyn: The actor looked very dashing in his blue double breasted suit with a black knit for a very suave take on red carpet dressing for ‘The Favourite’ London premiere, where he joined his co-star Emma Stone.

Robert Pattinson: After this brief experimentation with short and rubber sole shoes, Rob was back to classic suiting in a Dior Men navy notch lapel suit with a DiorMen transparent striped navy technical tulle shirt. What a shame he buttoned up his blazer.

American Ballet Theatre 2018 Fall Gala

The American Ballet Theatre 2018 Fall Gala took place on Wednesday (October 17) in New York City.

Olivia Palermo: Usually the fashionista is all about colour, patterns and over-accessorizing, so I am surprised she kept things simple – even with the feathers – in Ralph Lauren.

Katie Holmes: It would appear that Katie also got the feather memo, as her Prada suit also got the plumage treatment. As much as I love Katie in Zac Posen, I found this look really refreshing. Especially after her last outing.

‘Outlaw King’ London Film Festival Premiere

'Outlaw King' London Film Festival Premiere

It was boys night on the red carpet for the European premiere of ‘Outlaw King’ during the 62nd BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday (October 17) in London, with Chris Pine and Aaron Taylor Johnson in attendance.

Chris Pine: There is something very appealing about waistcoats during the Fall months. In his custom Giorgio Armani suit, Chris wore the most formal option of them all – the horseshoe waistcoat. I love how it brings a very elegant, and debonair finish to his checked suit, which he styled with a green Tie Bar ‘Barberis’ tie and blue Louboutins.

Aaron Taylor Johnson: Keeping thing super simple in black and going sans tie, the look still possessed an air smoothness due to the sleek fabrication.

‘The Little Drummer Girl’ World Premiere

'The Little Drummer Girl' World Premiere

The world premiere of ‘The Little Drummer Girl’ took place during the London Film Festival on Sunday (October 14).

Florence Pugh: This weightless and airy dress from Chloé’s Resort 2019 collection was made contemporary and youthful with asymmetric hemline. On this occasion the boots worked perfectly, providing some autumnal balance to her summery frock.

Alexander Skarsgard: Speaking of autumn, the dash of cinnamon was just the right amount of spice to enrich this deep green Prada suit.

Simona Brown: You were unlikely to miss this graphic print suit on the red carpet which was kept sweet and sexy with lace bra top. I’m sure you won’t take too kindly to the PVC shoes though.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the guys who hit the red carpet and royal wedding this week.

Kendrick Sampson: The actor was probably the best dressed at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, opting to wear an orange Eidos suit. Of course he wanted to complement the iconic Veuve Clicquot label which provided the backdrop to the step and repeat, but what I love most is that the shade is both summery and autumnal all at once, and that he didn’t opt for black or navy shoes. A Movado watch rounded out this well thought-out effort.

Ricky Martin: Who knew Ricky Martin and Princess Eugenie were friends? The singer was one of the many guests who attended the royal wedding on Friday. He was outfitted by Berluti, wearing a black wool morning coat, ivory jacquard vests with baby blue silk tie and pocket square exclusively designed by Kris Van Assche.

Timothée Chalamet In Alexander McQueen – ‘A Beautiful Boy’ London Film Festival Premiere

Timothée Chalamet In Alexander McQueen - 'A Beautiful Boy' London Film Festival Premiere

There was no missing Timothee Chalamet on the red carpet for the London Film Festival premiere of ‘Beautiful Boy’ on Saturday (October 13).

When it comes to the floral print of his Alexander McQueen Fall 2018 suit, it is a hell of a lot to visually take in, so I won’t be surprised if some people have reservations, but I continue to admire his stylish, brave choices.

I’m glad he opted for Chelsea boots over the runway sneakers, as the would’ve pulled the look down for me.
