Taylor Swift Returns to Her Signature Style for Her Historic Night
Taylor Swift made history on Monday night, becoming the youngest songwriter ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at its annual gala, held at Music City Center. Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley were among those celebrating the milestone with her.

For the occasion, Taylor wore a Rasario Fall 2026 burgundy velvet mini dress, which feels like such a typical Taylor choice for a landmark moment in her career. I love how playful the colourful floral embroidery makes this dress, while the rich velvet gives it an autumnal feel.
Sure, she has teased us with a few looks recently that suggested a change in style direction, but I think Taylor will continue to mix things up depending on the occasion. And I have no issue with that. This dress is fun, and flattering.
I know some of you feel that while the dress works, her hairstyle is in greater need of an update. Personally, I’ve become so accustomed to her bangs and softly curled hair that I struggle to remember a time before them.
Purple Jimmy Choo Saeda sandals and custom Anita Ko earrings completed her look.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley was equally playful with her fashion choice, stepping out in a dress you’ll no doubt recognise as Pucci. And while the psychedelic print has a distinctly retro feel, the dress is actually from one of the label’s recent collections.
