Naomi Ackie Wears Marine Serre’s Extraordinary 850 Makeup Brush Gown

Naomi Ackie attended the I Love Boosters gala screening during the 2026 BFI London Film Festival at the Royal Festival Hall on Friday.

Naomi has been delivering exceptional red carpet looks for two straight years now, and I still don’t think she’s getting enough credit for it.

This Marine Serre Fall 2026 halter gown is yet another example. I’ve noticed that Naomi has a particular fondness for this silhouette, and why not? It flatters her beautifully, accentuating her shoulders and creating a long, lean line that she wears with such ease.

Yes, this is the third outing for this dress, which we first saw on Ester Expósito back in March at Le Grand Dîner du Louvre, before Taraji P. Henson wore it. Composed of 850 make-up brushes, the silver ferrules catch the light like shimmering embellishments, making the construction all the more fascinating. The gown had a particularly fitting context at the Louvre event, where artistic expression was central to the evening. But as Taraji and now Naomi have demonstrated, this is an exceptional piece regardless of the occasion.

With a dress this intricate, there was no need to complicate the styling. Naomi’s signature slicked-back hair allowed the halterneck and extraordinary construction to take centre stage, while her jewellery provided just enough sparkle.
