Mariana di Girolamo Delivers a Serotonin Boost In London
Mariana di Girolamo attended the premiere of Wild Horse Nine during the 2026 BFI London Film Festival on Friday.

On Monday here in London, we were all wearing T-shirts and complaining that it was too warm for October. By yesterday, we were back in our coats. We didn’t even get a chance to enjoy that in-between trench coat weather. It was one extreme to another, and now everything is starting to feel grey and gloomy.
So Mariana’s bright orange Balenciaga Spring 2027 turtleneck gown was a sight for sore eyes, delivering exactly the serotonin boost I needed as the hours of daylight grow shorter.
I love how relaxed this blouson-style turtleneck dress feels, making it an interesting alternative to the more glamorous red carpet looks she has delivered so far. And that colour. It’s a shade of orange that instantly lifts your mood, which is precisely why I will always welcome colour on the red carpet.
The styling was equally pleasing. Mariana opted for white sandals, thankfully avoiding Balenciaga’s Duchesse pumps. I don’t think I could have coped with those shoes ruining my serotonin boost.

A selection of Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look, including a Bird on a Rock pendant. The turquoise against the orange was a beautiful combination, adding another welcome touch of colour to an already uplifting look.
Stylist: Jason Bolden.
