Gucci at the 2026 Albies: From Sequins to Classic Tailoring
Gucci joined the 2026 Albies as a Sentinel Sponsor, supporting the Clooney Foundation for Justice and its mission to advance access to justice and champion human rights defenders worldwide. The Italian fashion house also dressed several guests for the gala, held at London’s Natural History Museum on Friday.
Here’s how the Gucci-clad guests who joined Amal and George Clooney approached the evening.
Sheer Confidence
I know no one is surprised to see Emily Ratajkowski in this sheer sequinned Gucci gown, as this is very much Emily’s preferred approach to the red carpet.
I would have loved to see her do something less predictable for the occasion. But my belief is that if you invite an Emily Ratajkowski to your event, don’t be surprised when Emily Ratajkowski wears an Emily Ratajkowski dress like this.
Timeless Individuality
Bianca Jagger has always had a distinctive sense of style, and her Gucci look was another reminder of why she remains such a fashion icon.
As much as I love the tailoring, which speaks to her longstanding love of sharp suiting, it’s the bamboo walking cane that makes this look particularly special. Taking one of Gucci’s most recognisable house signatures and incorporating it in such an unexpected way feels perfectly suited to Bianca. Pearl drop earrings and a gold necklace added glamour to the otherwise austere ensemble.
Black-Tie Tradition
Tamsin Egerton opted for a sleek black Gucci gown with a thigh-high slit, but it was her dramatic GG chandelier earrings that really caught my attention.
Meanwhile, Josh Hartnett kept things classic in a black Gucci suit, a more traditional choice compared to the contemporary tailoring he gave us during the Verity press tour.
A Welcome Splash Of Colour
After so much black, Tish Weinstock was a welcome sight in her turquoise sequinned Gucci gown.
I honestly don’t mind the matching black accessories here. With Tish’s dark hair and gothic sensibility, they feel entirely in keeping with her personal style. The contrast also allows that gorgeous turquoise shade to stand out even more.
