Céline Dion’s Encore in Dior: Her Opening-Night Gown Returns in Champagne

Céline Dion introduced another Dior Haute Couture look during her Paris residency on Wednesday, revisiting a silhouette we first saw on opening night.

Having worn the black version of this Dior gown on opening night, Céline returned to the same design in soft champagne. It’s a subtle change, but one that gives the familiar silhouette a completely different feel.

I loved the black version, but I think I might prefer this one. The lighter shade makes the intricate pleating more visible, particularly around the waist, where the fabric fans out into dramatic, asymmetric layers.

Céline chose a Bvlgari High Jewellery necklace in diamonds and platinum, which was beautifully showcased by the strapless neckline and her sleek updo.

Revisiting the same silhouette so soon might seem surprising, but the change in colour gives us a different appreciation of the design. I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more variations, especially when the original is this beautiful, and I’m sure we will.
