Celebrities front Row at Givenchy Spring 2027

Sarah Burton presented her Givenchy Spring 2027 collection during Paris Fashion Week on Friday, with a front row that reflected the many different sides of her Givenchy, from sharp tailoring and leather to colour and relaxed denim.

Colour Is Calling

It was so good to see Jodie Comer step away from the understated looks she has favoured recently and give us colour, draping and a silhouette with some shape to it in Givenchy.

The red immediately changes the energy. Hopefully, this collection has given Jodie an appetite for stepping outside her comfort zone, because I would happily see more of this.

Leather With Authority

The last time we saw Cynthia Erivo in leather, at the Tiffany & Co. event, I felt she was overwhelmed by the silhouette. This Givenchy look is a completely different story.

Cynthia has such command in this biker-inspired leather jacket and wide-leg trousers. The jacket, in particular, feels so Sarah Burton-coded that it instantly reminded me of her time at McQueen. Add the oversized earrings, rings and those incredible nails, and this is Cynthia back in her element.

Tailoring With Character

There was never going to be anything conventional about Janelle Monáe wearing Givenchy. The oversized tailoring could easily have swallowed her, especially with the coat, but she has the presence to carry it.

The patterned tie is the small detail that makes the biggest difference for me. It breaks up all that grey and gives the look a little personality, while the sunglasses complete a front-row look that feels entirely at home on Janelle.

Double Denim, Eddie Edition

We don’t often see Eddie Redmayne in denim, which is probably why this Givenchy look immediately caught my attention, as it is so much more casual than his usual front-row looks. I particularly like the high collar and exaggerated cuffs because, with Eddie, every detail is considered.

Keeping It Casual

Anson Boon has always gravitated towards casual pieces, so this Givenchy leather bomber, T-shirt and jeans combination feels very much within his wheelhouse.

Black Tie, Reconsidered

There’s a romantic quality to Jeonghan’s Givenchy look that suits him, with the black tailoring framed by contrasting white accents. Of the menswear looks in this front row, this is easily the one with the strongest fashion statement.

A Shot Of Yellow

After so much black, grey and denim, Yang Zi gave this Givenchy front row another welcome injection of colour.

The pale-yellow mini dress is deceptively simple from the front, with the longer fabric at the back changing the silhouette completely. The black accessories were the right choice for me, but I wasn’t a fan of the style of the shoes.

Leather And Tailoring

Shuzo Ohira kept things straightforward in Givenchy. It’s a familiar combination, but the leather jacket stops the shirt-and-tie styling from becoming too formal. There is something to be said for keeping things this clean.
