Céline Dion Wastes No Time Wearing Sarah Burton’s New Givenchy

Céline Dion has wasted absolutely no time getting her hands on Sarah Burton’s latest Givenchy collection.

The Givenchy Spring 2027 collection was presented in Paris on Friday, and by Saturday, Céline was already wearing one of its most distinctive looks outside her hotel.

Like the Ferragamo look we saw her wearing last week, this is straight off the runway – but in this case, almost literally.

I know some of you will be looking at those dark grey mohair pattern-piece trousers on Céline and saying, “There ain’t no way,” but they are the most fascinating part of the look for me.

The grey slashed sleeveless jacket is unusual enough from the front, but the back changes everything. That cutaway reveals the extended waistband of the trousers, and suddenly the exaggerated proportions make even more sense.

It reminds me of those photographs where someone who has lost a significant amount of weight steps back into their old clothes to demonstrate the difference. Here, of course, that illusion is entirely by design.

Céline has been enjoying exaggerated silhouettes on stage, and she’s never needed clothes to make conventional sense. The fact that she wore one of Sarah Burton’s most challenging silhouettes barely 24 hours after it appeared on the runway makes this even more exciting.

This was one of my favourite Givenchy collections from Sarah Burton, so seeing such a distinctive look out in the wild this quickly is a treat.

Céline completed the look with the same asymmetrical Prism earrings seen on the runway, a black leather Givenchy Pinch soft clutch and Givenchy Bold sunglasses.
