Sandra Hüller’s Chanel Story Continues With Draped Shoulders

Sandra Hüller attended the LA premiere of Digger, held at Directors Village on Monday.

Much like last week’s royal premiere, the German actress wore Chanel, this time selecting a look from the Fall 2026 Haute Couture collection. Sadly, this one didn’t work for me, and I’m genuinely disappointed.

There was an Old Hollywood, old-world charm to her London look, and I can see an attempt to continue that mood here, but the result feels far less flattering.

I love how Sandra placed the cape detail over her shoulders, but the body of the top feels unresolved. The V-shaped panel and visible pulling through the bodice make it difficult to appreciate this as a Haute Couture piece when I expect the construction to be impeccable.

The peach colour isn’t the problem, although I can see a lot of you disliking it. The lace adds another issue for me, as combined with the satin, it gives the dress an antique quality, but not in a way I find charming.

Surprisingly, I love the gold and burgundy Chanel pumps, and the embellishments are beautiful. Her hair and makeup are also perfectly suited to the look, but none of that is enough to make me love the look.
