Florence Pugh Makes Volume the Main Event for ‘East of Eden’

Florence Pugh attended the East of Eden Netflix event held in New York on Sunday.

Many of you weren’t sold on her Rodarte gown for the London premiere, but for this occasion, both the mood and the colour were lifted as the British actress wore a white Erdem Resort 2027 dress.

The exaggerated silhouette may be the sticking point here, but those proportions are also what make the dress interesting. Remove them and much of its character disappears, especially on someone like Florence, who has never been afraid of an unconventional shape.

Personally, I’m sold. There’s a confidence required to carry this much volume, and Florence makes the proportions feel convincing rather than awkward. I also love the contrast between the sculptural shape and the simplicity of the white.
