Menswear This Week: Tailoring With a Few Twists
Here is a roundup of the notable menswear looks from this week so far, moving from sharp tailoring in Los Angeles and Zurich to a few more relaxed approaches in New York and Paris.

Digger LA Premiere
It has to be said that Riz Ahmed’s chartreuse satin top is what made this Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello look work for me. That shot of colour immediately lifts what could have felt like a regular workday suit into something worthy of the red carpet. Some of you haven’t taken to Riz’s love of a roomy suit, but this isn’t as oversized as the Givenchy and Loewe looks we’ve seen recently.

The Social Reckoning London Premiere
Jeremy Allen White usually keeps things fairly traditional when wearing custom Louis Vuitton, but this was a much more relaxed proposition. The shirt and black tie bring a touch of formality, but the beige single-breasted sports jacket and brown corduroy trousers pull the look firmly into more casual territory. I like the change of pace. It feels closer to Jeremy’s natural style than the traditional tailoring we usually see from this partnership

Black Church Bay Zurich Film Festival Premiere
Joe Locke was a look of two halves for me. I love the sleekness of the McQueen double-breasted evening jacket, but the trousers needed to be taken up an inch. Those beautiful McQueen Heron leather shoes, however, were absolutely the right way to finish the look.

Paper Tiger New York Film Festival Premiere
Miles Teller has a reputation for impeccable tailoring, and that continued with this grey AMIRI Spring 2026 suit. Despite him opting for a rare relaxed silhouette and open shirt, it still feels sharp, which is exactly why Miles continues to be so reliable when it comes to tailoring. A TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Glassbox Gold 39mm watch completed his look.

2026 MTV Video Music Awards
This is one menswear look I missed from the VMAs. Alex Warren wore a Public School New York Fall 2026 layered wrap-style shirt over a grey button-down and patterned tie, and there’s something refreshingly unconventional about the combination that makes it much more interesting than a standard shirt-and-tie look. It’s smart without feeling overly formal for the event.

Out In Paris
Of course Belmont Cameli is in Paris ahead of the Saint Laurent Spring 2027 show. We know Anthony Vaccarello is collecting curly-haired friends of the house like Infinity Stones: first Connor Storrie, then Jack Innanen, and now Belmont.
He travelled in style wearing a Saint Laurent leather bomber jacket with SL868 sunglasses and the Le 5 à 7 Maxi hobo bag. The oversized bag is doing a lot for this airport look, and I can already see why Belmont fits so easily into Vaccarello’s growing circle.

East of Eden Photocall
Christopher Abbott wore Ferragamo, pairing a Prince of Wales check blazer with black wool trousers and a white vest. I like the simplicity here. The vest relaxes the traditional check jacket without taking the look into overly casual territory.
