The Rest of the 2026 MTV VMAs Red Carpet
The 2026 MTV VMAs red carpet delivered exactly the kind of mix you expect from this event, with lace, corsetry, archival fashion, sheer gowns and plenty of looks that would feel out of place almost anywhere else. Here’s the rest of the red carpet.
Lace With Bite
Bebe Rexha stepped out in Dreaming Eli Fall 2026 black lace corsetry. While this is hardly new territory for the VMAs, the Jimmy Choo lace-up boots feel like overkill. There was already enough going on without heavy boots. Loree Rodkin jewellery completed her look.
Lingerie Layering
There was equally a lot happening with Bella Poarch’s Dreaming Eli Fall 2026 look, from the corsetry and lace to the stockings and trailing ribbons. Admittedly, I don’t get it, but somehow it feels completely at home at the VMAs. Jeffrey Campbell Le Chat pumps completed her look.
Mirror, Mirror
Chloe Bailey wore an Idan Cohen Spring 2025 gown, with the mirrored embellishments doing most of the work. But as dazzling as the gown is, I can’t overlook the fit of the bust, which is simply too tight.
Gothic Glamour
Ella Bright looked beautiful in archival Roberto Cavalli. Between the embellished halterneck gown and her retro beauty look, there is a gothic glamour here that suits her surprisingly well.
Baby Spice Goes Dark
I will always associate Emma Bunton with soft pink hues, so this black Annie’s Ibiza sculpted, embellished mini was quite the switch. She may still look like Baby Spice, but the fashion has come a long way from the playful looks we once associated with her.
Rinna Being Rinna
Of course Lisa Rinna was going to commit. Her white SEKS gown, complete with its sculpted bust and thigh-high slit, feels entirely consistent with the fashion persona she has created for herself. Hueb jewellery completed her look.
A Major Normani Moment
Normani looked sensational in Robert Wun Fall 2025 Couture, wearing one of the most commanding silhouettes in this roundup. You may remember that Dilraba wore this gown to the W China Annual Gala back in August last year. McQueen earrings completed her look.
Full MTV Fantasy
Paris Hilton in a crystal-covered The Blonds look with a matching choker and thigh-high boots? Love it or loathe it, this is so the VMAs. Maybe early 2000s VMAs, but perfect nonetheless.
Romantic PinkPantheress
This Nina Ricci Pre-Fall 2011 burgundy ruffled gown makes an interesting change from the shorter, more playful silhouettes we often see from PinkPantheress. While I miss her aforementioned style, I love the romantic feel of this look.
Old-School Glamour
RAYE wore Georges Hobeika Fall 2026 Couture, giving us a heavily embellished halterneck gown paired with the vintage glamour that has become such a signature for her.
Sheer Commitment
Rei Ami embraced one of the night’s recurring themes in HILA. The sheer black look leaves very little hidden, yet the layered embellishment means she doesn’t appear completely naked. The piles of Hoorsenbuhs white-gold and diamond jewellery add even more to an already detailed look.
A Softer Moment
Among a red carpet full of body-conscious and barely-there looks, Sienna Spiro offered something softer in Valentino. The tiered burgundy gown has a romantic quality that sets it apart from much of what we saw on the night.
Crystal Siren
This is the first time I’ve featured Slayyyter, so I can’t speak to whether this custom Kallie Collett gown is typical of her style. What I can say is that the crystal embellishment and sheer finish make plenty of sense for a VMAs debut on RCFA. Cristahlea sandals completed her look.
Bridal Reworked
Stella Lefty selected a Claire Pettibone Fall 2015 Bridal gown, but nothing about it reads as a trip down the aisle. The silver lace, beading and shoulder details translate surprisingly well to the VMAs red carpet.
