Celebrities at the ‘Wild Horse Nine’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

The Wild Horse Nine premiere brought another packed red carpet to the Venice Film Festival. Here are the final looks.

Golden Archive

Armani Beauty ambassador Kendall Jenner wore an archival Armani Fall 1995 dress, with the intricate gold embroidery doing all the work, because the Aquazzura So Nude sandals are a bit flat. I wish they had been gold too.

Briony Raymond jewels completed her look, which is pretty, but I don’t think I’ll remember it by the time the festival concludes.

Armani After Dark

On the other hand, Vittoria Ceretti doesn’t need much to sell a gown. Yes, she’s a model and that’s her job, but the ability to select a look, wear it well and breathe life into it off the runway isn’t a given, as we well know.

But in this Armani Privé velvet column gown, she is simply breathtaking. It’s sensual, sleek and perfectly suited to Vittoria – and Venice, for that matter.

Boucheron earrings and Crivelli bracelets completed her look.

Black Lace, More Drama

I’m not a fan of how bottom-heavy Laura Dern’s Dior black lace embroidered gown feels. This looks like it didn’t make the cut for the Practical Magic 2 press tour. I only like it from the waist up.

Dior shoes completed her look.

Super Simple

There’s minimalist, and then there’s Mackenzie Davis’ Celine strapless silver column gown.

I can do minimal, but this is a bit too bland for me. I don’t need embellishment or drama with every outing, but I need something. This is giving me nothing. Actually, I think my issue is that neckline. Smooth it out, throw her hair back in a bun, and we might be onto something.

Celine Done Right

While I wasn’t sold on Mackenzie’s look, Phoebe Waller-Bridge presented a far more compelling case for Celine.

This feels completely right for Phoebe, as she’s not a gala gown kinda woman. I love how the cape gives the classic black-and-white combination a modern edge and some drama, while the trousers keep everything sharp and, characteristically for Phoebe, unfussy.

Velvet in Venice

As we saw from Jack O’Connell, traditionally warm fabrics aren’t necessarily advisable on the Venice red carpet, but Valeria Golino would have had some respite from her Fendi Fall 2026 Couture velvet gown thanks to that deep-plunging neckline.

The emerald necklace was also a beautiful choice, immediately lifting the black-and-ivory palette.

Sheer Expectations

Remember when this festival used to give us Alberta Ferretti on the red carpet every night? Now it’s Intimissimi.

Brazilian actress Marina Ruy Barbosa’s Intimissimi dress obviously had to be sheer to show off her lingerie underneath. If you’re wondering whether the back is sheer too, it is.
