Zoe Saldana Wore Balmain To The ‘Lioness’ Season 3 New York Premiere

Following her guest appearance on CBS Mornings yesterday, Zoe Saldana attended the Lioness Season 3 New York premiere held at the SVA Theater.

Oh look, Zoe is back in a black dress with tights. Said no one ever.

The reason I made such a fuss when she stepped out in colour at the start of this press tour was because I had a feeling she would eventually return to her default formula. This Balmain Fall 2026 dress is exactly that. It feels as though we’ve all seen Zoe wear this look a hundred times before. Perhaps that’s a slight exaggeration, but only a slight one. Let’s say 93.

My only real surprise is that the dress is the velvet fabrication rather than lace, because the silhouette, plunging neckline, bold shoulders, tights and pumps all feel instantly familiar. It’s a combination she returns to time and again.

Then there’s the question of velvet and tights for a summer premiere. That choice isn’t for me. Does she look good? Absolutely. Zoe rarely looks anything less than elegant. But I’ll always be a season-over-aesthetic kind of girl.
