Nicole Kidman’s Italian Holiday Style Is Summer Dressing At Its Best

Nicole Kidman is making the most of a quieter summer before the whirlwind of Venice, Toronto, the Emmys, the VMAs and Fashion Month gets underway.

The actress has been enjoying time in Italy with her daughters, Sunday and Faith, staying at the iconic Splendido hotel in Portofino. Moments from the visit were shared by the hotel’s managing director, Alfonso Pacifico, who captioned the photographs:

“Welcoming Nicole Kidman to Splendido was a privilege.”

For the occasion, Nicole wore a burnt-orange Dodo Bar Or slip dress that couldn’t have been more fitting for a balmy Italian summer evening. The warm hue echoed the glow of a sun-soaked day lingering into the evening, while the delicate lace panels lent the dress a subtle vintage inflection, enhancing its romantic appeal.

What I love most, though, is how fresh-faced Nicole looks. We’re so accustomed to seeing her in full red carpet glamour that it’s easy to forget how radiant she is with minimal makeup. The soft rosy cheeks, barely-there eye makeup and effortless waves make this feel wonderfully relaxed, perfectly complementing the easy elegance of her holiday wardrobe.
