Samantha Morton Wore McQueen To ‘The Odyssey’ London Photocall
Samantha Morton joined her The Odyssey cast mates for the London photocall on Sunday afternoon. In Christopher Nolan’s epic, she plays Circe, the enigmatic enchantress and goddess of Aeaea.

Considering Anne Hathaway, Zendaya and Lupita Nyong’o all opted for white and ivory looks, this muted McQueen Pre-Fall 2026 gown introduced a more ancient, weathered mood.

At first glance, it lacks the immediate impact of the lighter looks, yet that restraint arguably reflects Nolan’s interpretation of Circe, not as an overtly glamorous sorceress, but as an ancient deity whose presence speaks for itself.
The fluid draping and earthy bronze palette reinforced that impression. While the reference wasn’t as immediate as Zendaya’s Athena-inspired look, it still felt closely aligned with the mythology behind the film.
As much as I appreciate the narrative, I can’t say the dress itself won me over. The colour is undoubtedly its strongest asset, and the storytelling gives the look a purpose, but it does very little for Samantha. Ultimately, the storytelling was stronger than the execution.
