Celebrities at Variety’s Inaugural ‘Power of Women: London’ Event
Variety’s inaugural Power of Women: London event was held at The Chancery Rosewood on Thursday evening, bringing together actresses, musicians and industry figures for a celebration of female achievement.

Plaid With Punk Spirit
Cynthia Erivo wore Vivienne Westwood, and if anyone was going to make this clash of tartan, draping and exaggerated proportions work, it was always going to be her.
Delivering all the attitude you would expect from a Vivienne Westwood look, the towering platform boots only amplified the rebellious mood. The combination of sharp tailoring, asymmetrical draping and Cynthia’s unwavering confidence made this feel entirely authentic to her personal style.

Miu Miu, Naturally
Oversized tailoring isn’t usually part of Emma Corrin’s style vocabulary, but she makes a compelling case for it in this brown Miu Miu suit. The relaxed proportions gave the look an effortless, borrowed-from-the-boys appeal, while the glittering orange Miu Miu pumps injected a touch of playfulness. It was a simple styling choice that completely transformed the mood of the outfit.

The Art Of Leaving Things Undone
Havana Rose Liu used to be a Chanel-all-the-time kind of girl as one of the house’s ambassadors, but since the Cannes Film Festival, I’ve noticed that she has been exploring a wider range of labels.
This time it was Schiaparelli, carrying that unmistakable attitude through the directional tailoring. Some might feel that the trousers are comically long, but the layering, making the Fall 2026 look her own, her poise and the effortless confidence with which she wears this challenging silhouette, she sold this look to me.

A Rare Departure
Anyone familiar with Katherine Waterston’s red-carpet style will know that black is usually her comfort zone, which made this ivory Altuzarra Fall 2026 look stand out immediately.
The minimalist column silhouette was interrupted by a dramatic black fringe detail sweeping across one shoulder, creating a striking contrast without overwhelming the simplicity of the dress. It was elegant, refreshing and yet still firmly rooted in her understated aesthetic.

Shoes Saved The Day
I’m struggling to connect with Suki Waterhouse’s dress. Between the oversized bows, cascading panels and abundance of satin, there was a lot competing for attention at once, never quite settling into a clear point of view. However, the Jimmy Choo Faiz pumps were another story entirely. The delicate lace detailing and gold-capped toes added charm and personality, and they ended up being my favourite element of the entire look.
