Sheila Atim Wore Prada To ‘The Vampire Lestat’ New York Premiere
Sheila Atim attended AMC’s The Vampire Lestat New York premiere held at the Beacon Theatre on Tuesday evening.

The British actress wore a Prada strapless black crinoline dress with silk duchesse details, continuing Miuccia Prada’s ongoing return to her own archives through a design inspired by the Spring/Summer 1995 collection.
The belt is the detail that immediately ties this look back to Prada. It was a recurring feature throughout the afromentioned collection, cinching dresses and sharpening silhouettes. Here, it gives definition to the waist while subtly breaking up the long line of the dress.
While the Spring 1995 original leaned more heavily into transparency, Sheila’s version feels more substantial and striking in a different way. The sheen of the fabric gives the dress a sleek, almost futuristic quality, catching the light in a manner that makes the otherwise minimal silhouette feel unexpectedly modern, despite its archival roots.
Sheila rarely gravitates towards obvious statement dressing, and this worked because it felt entirely aligned with her preference for pieces that make their impact through silhouette and presence.
Thirty years on, this Prada idea still holds up, which says a lot about Miuccia Prada’s timeless designs.
Chopard jewels including Haute Joaillerie Collection earrings completed her look.
