Sigourney Weaver’s ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu’ European Press Tour
While I was eye-level deep in Met Gala content, Sigourney Weaver quietly started a whole press tour without me.
The actress kicked off her press tour for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in Berlin, before heading to Paris and London.
Berlin Premiere
What is Sigourney Weaver without one funky Valentino jacket? Remember her bellhop-inspired Valentino look for the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere?
I really wanted to like this Valentino Spring 2026 jacket on the actress, especially as she swapped the grey runway trousers for black, which instantly sharpened the look. But I think this desperately needed a black leather tie. With the polka-dot tie, it feels like she took a standard corporate jacket and flipped it inside out to unveil its office Christmas party alter ego.
The jacket itself has enough personality and texture to carry the outfit alone, and the additional print from the tie just tips it too far.
Paris Premiere
For the Paris premiere, Sigourney wore a Chanel Spring 2026 look, swapping the runway skirt for a simple pair of black trousers. This was easily the strongest outing of the three for me.
The switch from skirt to trousers instantly made the Chanel Spring 2026 look feel more aligned with Sigourney’s personal style, toning down the sweetness of the house’s camellia embellishments and giving the outfit more authority. The sharper trousers and two-tone pumps balanced the softness of the cropped jacket beautifully, creating a look that felt elegant, confident, and entirely natural on her.
London Premiere
This custom Balmain look designed by Antonin Tron should have been my favourite. It had all the hallmarks of a classic Sigourney Weaver press tour moment, but the volume kills it for me.
I could have forced myself to get on board with the collarless leather jacket, but those wide-leg trousers bunching around her ankles are criminal. The proportions completely overwhelm her frame, and instead of feeling commanding, the silhouette just feels heavy and cumbersome.
Sigourney deserved better. Her Avatar: Fire and Ash press tour was so much stronger.
