Priyanka Chopra Wore Amit Aggarwal Couture To The Gold House Hosts 2026 Gold Gala
Gold House celebrated the Most Impactful Asian Pacific and Multicultural Leaders at the fifth annual Gold Gala held in LA this weekend.

Priyanka Chopra was in attendance, where she received the inaugural Global Vanguard Honor.
Amit Aggarwal created a custom couture look for the Indian actress that honoured heritage through a contemporary lens. Created in collaboration with Priyanka’s stylist, Ami Patel, the piece emerged from a shared vision to create something deeply personal to Priyanka’s roots while reflecting the evolution of Indian craftsmanship on an international stage.

Being from Uttar Pradesh, India, it felt especially meaningful for Priyanka to champion a craft intrinsically tied to her origins. The starting point was Chikankari, the historic embroidery tradition native to Lucknow, celebrated for its fragility, translucence, and intricate handwork. The way light passes through Chikankari felt symbolic of Priyanka herself, as someone constantly evolving while carrying Indian identity onto the global stage.
At the heart of the ensemble was a two-decade-old sari, reworked and reimagined into couture through months of craftsmanship. Carrying forward a textile already embedded with memory and history added emotional weight to the garment, transforming it into something deeply personal and generational.

Over the course of six weeks, women artisans across generations came together to embroider the textile entirely by hand. The creation stands as a tribute to the women continuing to preserve and evolve India’s textile legacy. Every surface of the gown reflected the dedication, skill, and lived craftsmanship of the women who brought it to life.

When it comes to celebrating her heritage on the red carpet, Priyanka always rises to the occasion, and this outing was no exception. The sculpted corsetry balanced beautifully against the fluid drape and elongated train, while the intricate texture work ensured the monochromatic palette never fell flat. The craftsmanship remained the focus from every angle.

Bvlgari High Jewelry completed the look with a platinum necklace featuring 11 pear-shaped emeralds and pavé-set diamonds, styled alongside a diamond Serpenti ring.
Stylist: Ami Patel.
