Celebrities in Chanel for the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Your feelings towards the custom Chanel looks by Matthieu Blazy at the 2026 Oscars were a bit of a mixed bag, with an overall sense that you wanted more from certain celebrities, so let’s look at the looks from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

A Clear Standout
Kendall Jenner, who has been wearing a lot of Chanel since Blazy took over the house, is perhaps my best dressed of the night among those in Chanel, with Pedro Pascal a close second. This light blue dress, with gradient sun sequins and multiple layers of mousseline and satin in shades of blue and white depicting mushrooms, felt like a true main-event moment. I am slightly annoyed this was not an option for the woman of the hour: Jessie. Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look.

Too Heavy For After Hours
Especially when Jessie Buckley’s actual after-party Chanel look was this black lurex fur dress. It feels sombre and overly heavy for a party setting. Chanel High Jewellery completed her look.

Not What I was hoping for
Teyana Taylor’s white satin Chanel dress was striking from the back, with chains draping down her spine, but from the front, the construction around the bust feels, dare I say, messy. A cowl neckline would have made all the difference. Tiffany & Co. jewels completed her look. When it comes to both looks, these were not the Oscars outings I had envisioned for her, so overall, I am disappointed.

Falling Flat
When it comes to Nicole Kidman’s Chanel Spring 2026 gold metallic fibre dress, I will assume it translated better in person. As presented, it falls flat. Between the colour and the frayed edges, it reminds me of a rice sack. Chanel High Jewellery completed her look.

Understated Exit
Gracie Abrams wore a Chanel Pre-Fall 2026 dress styled with Chanel High Jewellery. The look felt softly romantic with its delicate detailing, but it also leaned quite safe, especially in the context of a night where others were attempting more directional statements. It is pretty, no doubt, but I was left wanting a stronger point of view to elevate it beyond simply nice. Especially when her look for the main event read more after-party.

Familiar Territory
Quenlin Blackwell wore the same Chanel Spring 2026 dress we previously saw on Zoe Saldana.
